“So. You’re mine, you’re Cali’s, and we are both yours. A family. A pack. Together for the long haul, and even your feisty ass can’t argue with me on it.”
I smile wide as Arlo giggles, dropping his forehead to mine with a sigh. “I love that.”
“Good.”
“And I love you. Both of you.”
“I know.”
He snorts then presses a kiss to my lips. “Cocky.”
“You don’t even know the half of it, sweetheart. Just wait. As soon as I wreck your perfect ass with my cock while you scream my name and come your brains out, I’ll be insufferable.”
My sweet omega laughs again as he pulls me into a hug, and I swear to god I’m the biggest idiot to ever live. Fighting this feeling, denying this perfect man, it was the stupidest thing I could have done, and I can only hope I get to spend the rest of my life making it up to him.
Chapter

LENNOX
My lips twist in displeasure as I sit in the parking lot of the hotel and watch as Arlo walks out with a suitcase while holding Calista’s hand.
He appears harried as he hurries along and I search for evidence of a ride share waiting for them, only to come up empty. Arlo flips his hair out of his eyes, showing it's too long and he probably needs a hair cut, while Calista speaks animatedly to him.
Why are they alone?
Rufus is sleeping after running out his zoomies at six in the morning at the beach. I went for a legitimate run because I can’t get Arlo or Ves out of my head, and masturbating felt wrong.
Once I fist my cock to thoughts of them, I know I’ll rub it raw as I imagine knotting Arlo’s sweet asshole or shooting my release all over Ves’ smug face.
Fuck. Who am I kidding? The ship has sailed on obsession. The true question is how deep will it end up going?
Knowing Rufus won’t bark and alert anyone of my stalking, I lower my window and listen as Calista’s voice chatters on.
“Do we have time for pancakes before we get on the train, Daddy?”
The words are yelled over her shoulder, and I begin looking for Ves.
Arlo glances over his own shoulder, grinning as Ves jogs after them, and I fix my face as I relax slightly. They walk right past me as Ves promises his little girl breakfast before her train ride home.
I did a little research on Sylvester March, finding he’s on tour teaching for the FBI. It’s amazing what some digging and cashing in a favor or two can get you. I’m not sure if it’s only a teaching position, but the shrewd glint in his steely eyes tells me he enjoys a more hands on approach to things.
Either way, I’m glad my performances will revolve around an hour and a half radius for the next few weeks. I want to learn all I can about Ves, other than the fact that he’s a single dad with terrible taste in women. Calista is much better off without her mother. I managed to find a mugshot, and found out she was briefly in jail before being cut loose.
It also turns out his baby mama is certifiably insane and Ves has a protection order against her after she tried to kidnap Cali. Shuddering at the thought, I decide I’m grateful he’s such a growly asshole. Whatever keeps his daughter safe.
Ves is protective of his little girl, and as he slings his arm around Arlo’s shoulders, I can safely say this extends to the young omega as well. Blowing out a breath, I decide I’m thankful Ves has finally pulled his head out of his ass. I was worried I was going to need to make another play for Arlo. Instead, I can plan another course of action that’ll hopefully include me in their budding new relationship.
Once I watch them get safely into Ves’ vehicle, I allow my eyes to drift, taking in the parking lot for any possible danger. I’m not sure why when I saw Ves’ firearms underneath his suit jacket as he picked Calista up to put her into her car seat. I notice entirely too much about the three of them. Calista is a sweet kid, I don’t want anything bad to happen to her.
That’s why I growl angrily as I realize someone else is watching my omegas. He’s leaning forward in his seat, wearing all black, and his sweatshirt’s hood is pulled over his head. It is way too damn hot for that mess, and I frown as I look from where he’s parked two spaces away from me and then back to the SUV that’s currently backing up, likely headed to get Calista pancakes.
“No fucking way,” I growl, hitting the button to roll up my window.
What the hell is this guy doing, stalking my guys? Is he working for Ves’ baby mama? Or worse yet, is he in the auction game? Those men fucking disgust me, and they will shadow omegas until they make their move as head hunters. They make a lot of fucking money once they drop their mark off, but I could never perform a job like that.
Yanking my bat from under my passenger side seat, I hop out of my van and slam the door shut, loping in his direction. His eyes widen by the time he sees me, and while I’d love to call the color piss-yellow, they’re actually a really pretty brown.
