I looked around at the crowd before shaking my head. "Y'all can have him."

I opened my door.

"I'm trying to enjoy my night."

I've heard enough stories about Jokah over the years to know exactly who he was. Or at least who people claimed he was. Depending on who you asked, he was either a street legend or the devil in designer clothes. The type of man mothers warned their daughters about. Jokah was feared throughout Broward County, and surrounded by money, power, and people willing to do just about anything to stay in his good graces. Jokah was the type of man women chased, and men either admired or avoided. None of that impressed me. Besides, I already have a man.

We made our way toward the entrance, weaving through the crowd until we reached the velvet rope. One of the bouncers looked up, and the second he spotted Armani, a grin spread across his face.

"There go my favorite headache."

Armani smiled like she'd been expecting him.

"Hey, handsome."

He leaned over the rope and pulled her into a hug before stepping aside. "I was wondering if you was gon' show up tonight."

"You know I couldn't let you miss me."

He laughed and motioned for another security guard to unhook the rope.

"Go ahead."

As we started walking in, he stopped us.

"Oh, I already got a section waiting on y'all. It’s the same table you always sit at."

Armani blew him a kiss.

"See that's why you my favorite."

The bouncer chuckled. "Enjoy y'all selves."

“Oh, we will. Thanks, boo.”

The moment we were out of earshot, I looked over at my sister. "Bitch!"

She glanced at me. "What?"

"Don't ‘what’ me."

"What?" I laughed.

"You must be sucking the skin off that nigga dick 'cause this man got us skipping the line and sitting in VIP."

Armani threw her head back laughing. "And is!"

"You ain't got no shame."

"And don’t."

She grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the VIP section. "Now come on. Let's enjoy ourselves on this nigga dime."

As we made it to our section, three bottle girls headed straight toward us. One held a bright neon sign that read FINE SHYT, while the others carried a bottle of Reposado tequila, two bottles of champagne, a bucket of ice, and a hookah. They stopped right at our table and sat everything down. A group of girls that were standing across from us with no drinks were staring hard as fuck at us. Them hoes had to be broke. They didn’t have tables and they looked bored. Maybe they were waiting for a nigga to buy them a drink.

I turned my attention back to Armani.

"Damn, bitch, you gotta be blowing in that nigga ass too. He just did the absolute most."
