“How many times did Arabella beg you to leave her alone? How many times did the other babies beg you not to hurt them? Did you listen? Did you show them mercy?”
He didn’t answer. “That’s what I thought. You showed no mercy in your cruelty, you’ll receive none from mine.”
I touched the pipe to bare skin and held it while it seared through to the bone of his hip. His screams were muffled by the gag but still satisfyingly loud. As I rounded his body, I dragged the burning instrument over his skin, holding it near his tailbone while I waited for Daly and Logan to spread his cheeks wide.
Another dark and revolting arsehole but this one would soon be the size of a basketball.
I shoved the pipe inside and rotated it, maximising the burning of the flesh. Repeatedly, I pulled it out, thrust inside, and continued making the opening in his arse bigger and bigger.
“He’s out,” Connor informed.
“Damn. I would have enjoyed playing a bit longer but there’s no satisfaction if he’s out cold.”
I placed the pipe down and signalled for Connor to turn the switch that would start the generator heating the wires.
We stood back and watched as they heated and began glowing red. Tchokai jolted awake, his head dropped, his screams though muffled were blood curdling as he watched while his dick was literally burned off and dropped to the floor.
His eyes, glazed over with pain, pierced mine.
“This is for Arabella. Never again will you terrorise anyone the way you did her.”
With those words, I turned and nodded at Connor and Jake.
“Go and take care of your girl, we’ve got this.” I knew Connor would increase the intensity of the generator until the wires burned through the flesh and exposed bone. He would then be disposed of in the furnace.
I left the shed and strode back to Jake’s home where I knew my lady would be waiting. Never again would she, or any other child, suffer at the hands of Sangumala.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
QUINN
I entered Jake’s home to silence and wondered where Tania and Natalie must have gone. It wasn’t like them not to be chattering at a million miles an hour. After closing the door, I headed towards the guest room where I expected Arabella to be in bed.
I stopped in the doorway, and my heart melted at the scene in front of me. Tania sat in a padded chair on one side of the bed, Arabella’s hand in hers; Natalie also sat in a chair on the other side and clutched one of Arabella’s hands. They were bent forward, heads resting on the mattress, and both appeared to be sleeping. Arabella, maybe sensing my presence, opened her eyes and smiled.
“Hi,” she whispered.
“Hi, sweetheart.”
At the sound of my voice, the two ladies sat back in their chairs and rubbed at their eyes. Tania pierced me with her gaze.
“Done?”
I nodded. “The garbage has been taken out and burnt.” Turning to Arabella, I assured her, “They will never be a threat again.”
“Thank you.” Tears formed in her eyes.
“Did Barry come down?”
“Yes, he left about twenty minutes ago,” Natalie confirmed.
“And?” I asked when no one elaborated.
The girls glanced at Arabella, a subtle nod from them both.
“I have broken ribs. Barry is sure of three breaks but said we would need x-rays to confirm. He’s strapped them to help with the pain. The rest is bad bruising which will heal given time and he has given me some cream to help alleviate the soreness of the sunburn.”
“Did you ask him about going home?”
