After the barman placed them on the counter, with additional salt and lemon slices, Shay-Lee grabbed one glass and offered it to me.
“For you,” he said with a devilish smile coating his precious lips.
I took the shot from him, then grabbed his hand and brought it to my mouth. Keeping our eye contact, I parted my lips and sucked the spot between his thumb and finger.
“That’s so sexy.” He bit on his bottom lip while I spread salt over the wet area.
Smirking, I ducked down, licked the salt from his skin, took the shot, and finished off by sucking on the lemon. My throat still burned with the liquor when I pulled him into a kiss. Probably tasting the tequila on my tongue, Shay-Lee moaned into the kiss. Licking into my mouth, he didn’t hold back and tried reaching for more when I fisted his hair and pulled his head back. He gave me a small smirk right before I brought the other shot glass to his mouth and forced him to drink. He groaned, and I shut him up with a slice of lemon, which he sucked as if it was my dick.
Fuck. The dirty look he just gave me went straight to my cock, and licking my lips, I adjusted myself before going back to kissing him. Shay-Lee noticed my excitement and pushed his thigh between my legs before he, unfairly, broke the kiss and grabbed the other two shots from the bar.
“Cheers to us.” He offered me the shot while holding my stare.
My heart skipped a beat, and only because of how fucking happy I was. Being here, in this club, ready to dance with the man I loved—it felt un-fucking-real, and unable to contain my smile, I took the glass from him, but not before bending down.
“Te amo, mi amor,” I whispered in his ear, then pulled back and took the shot.
He blushed like the cute kitten that he was but snapped out of it soon enough as he took off his jacket and tossed it on the bar. “Let’s dance,” he said, grabbing my shirt and pulling me into the center of the room, where everyone was dancing.
One glance around was enough to tell we were the only gay couple in here, not that it mattered. Not once since I first fell for him did I stop to question my sexuality because it simply didn’t mean shit. He was my everything. End. Of. Story.
Once we reached the middle of the dance floor, I took a second to listen to the music and understand its rhythm before I grabbed Shay-Lee’s hand and, with my other hand placed on his hip, began moving to the sound. Shay-Lee might not have been a professional dancer, and neither was I, for that matter, but he knew how to sway his hips, and it was sinfully sexy.
With one arm draped around his back and the other holding his hips, I had my thigh between his legs while we moved together as one. Two steps to the left, then to the right, we were on a roll, high on fucking life.
The music changed, and with the switch, I spun him around so now his back was plastered to my chest, his ass grinding against me with each step we took. Bachata wasn’t about sex but passion, so with my hand on his hip, I guided him a bit slower so he’d understand it wasn’t about grinding but swaying and coordinating our movements to the Latin rhythm.
“It’s all about letting your body follow the music,” I whispered to his ear while holding his hips with both hands. “Imagine it flowing through you.” In a quick move, I spun him back so he was a bit farther from me before I pulled him close until our chests bumped. His eyes met mine, and the excitement in them was precious. His face was already flushed, and a bit of sweat coated his forehead. I loved it. I loved how raw this moment felt, and so, in a move that flew through me like a wave, I brushed the hair off his face before sending him into another spin.
I led the motion while he followed through, dancing with me like he was born to do it. In that moment, the rest of the world ceased to exist as it was just him and me. He was the center of my world by all means, and there wasn’t a better way to show it than through bachata. When he spun or swayed his body, my eyes were locked with his, and so was my heart, which beat for his existence. We danced until our chests were heaving and our legs were sore, and not even then did we stop. Truthfully, I had no idea how long we were dancing for, but I didn’t want it to end and simply wished to dance with him forever.
Unfortunately, around 2:00 a.m., the club closed, and we had no choice but to move the dancing someplace else.
Outside in the street, Shay-Lee was still spinning around while smiling from ear to ear. “What do you say, should I sign up for some dance classes?”
“Dance classes?” I grabbed his body and pulled him into my arms. “Baby, you’re already a pro.” I kissed him while walking him backward and in the direction of my bike. Shay-Lee giggled over my lips, his fingers running through my short hair.
“Well, I’m definitely a pro in bed—”
“Take this disgusting shit out of the street,” some asshole spat from behind us.
Shay-Lee’s hands dropped from around me. In time, I turned to see some drunk fucker walking behind us. Since I was too damn high from the night and also assumed this piece of junk was trying to make an impression on the girl he had his arm wrapped around, I thought of letting it slide, but he had to open his mouth again.
“You homos make me sick.” He spat on the ground.
Holding my stance, I held his ugly stare. “Is that so?”
The fucker’s jaw twitched before he pushed away from his girl and stepped toward me.
What a fool.
“Stop looking at me,” he snarled.
And even though his spit hit my face, I still didn’t budge and instead waited for him to make another mistake.
“Camilo, let’s just go,” Shay-Lee said while nudging my elbow. “He isn’t worth it.”
I turned to look at him, and my stomach hurt with the anxiety on his face. In fact, the way he looked at me was enough to make me drop it, and I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and turned to go.
