“No.” He smirked and stood up, and I watched as he adjusted the semi in his pants. “I’m pretty sure the nurses will come to do another check-up soon.” His eyes darted to where my cock was tenting my hospital robe before they came back to meet mine. “We don’t want your giant dick to give them a heart attack, do we, Jordan?” He winked, and I had to bite my lip. I wanted him so bad. “Now then, give me the address.”
Jessie
Why the hell was Jordy mouth fucking Shay-Lee?
I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn’t imagining things. Yep, Jordy was one hundred percent making out with the blond devil. Peeking one more time through the door’s small window into the room, a shiver ran through my body. As my initial shock faded and realization sank in, I stepped away from the door.
All along, the guy Jordy was involved with was him? I shook my head. No fucking way was our sweet Jordy dating hideous Shay-Lee. Jordy was one of the good guys, and Shay-Lee was—
My thought was cut short once the door opened, and out walked Shay-Lee. Thanks to my cat-like reflexes, I managed to jump and hide behind a nearby vending machine before he noticed me.
I focused on his back and followed him with my stare as he walked down the hall. His hands were shoved in his pockets, and his golden hair almost reached his broad shoulders—I needed to ask for his shampoo.
Focus, Jessie!
I looked down at the box of chocolates I brought for Jordy and wondered if I should still go and meet him after what I had just seen. My first instinct was to call Levi and tell him everything, but then I remembered Jordy saying the guy he was dating was in the closet. Even though Shay-Lee was the closest thing to a real-life demon, he still didn’t deserve to be outed, so I decided not to call Levi.
After standing for another minute in the hall and debating with myself, I decided to still go and see Jordy, even if only to give him his chocolates and leave.
Once again, standing in front of his room, I held my gift close to my chest and took a deep breath. Walk in, be friendly, give him the chocolates, and never mention the kiss or Shay-Lee.
I knocked on the door while repeating my plan in my head before I walked in.
Jordy smiled at me. “Hey, Jess.”
“Why the fuck were you kissing Shay-Lee?” I blurted before the door even closed behind me. Oops.
Jordy’s eyes widened, and his mouth opened and closed before he mumbled “shit” under his breath.
I walked toward the bed and left the chocolate on the nearby table. “So? Why did you?”
Still startled, Jordy rubbed his jaw, probably thinking about what to say. I did come on to him pretty aggressively, but for fuck sake, he kissed Shay-Lee.
“Because I like him?”
“What’s there to like?” I almost yelled it out before slumping my ass in the chair before him. “The dude is fucking scum, man.”
“Hey.” Jordy’s brows knitted together as he gave me an annoyed look. “I’m not saying he’s the nicest guy around, but you don’t know him, so don’t call him that.”
I pointed to the bruises on my face. “He beat the shit out of us. Well, his guys did, but he told them to. And don’t get me started on what he did to Andrei.”
Jordy moved his hand angrily through his short curls before he rested it on his lap. “I know, okay? He did some fucked-up shit, but he feels sorry for it.”
“Oh, really.” I rolled my eyes because my ass did he feel sorry for it.
“Yes. Really,” he said firmly, and we fell into an awkward silence that lasted for a minute before I reached for the box of chocolates. Opening it, I grabbed a praline and popped it into my mouth before offering one to Jordy.
“I just don’t get it,” I said between chewing as Jordy picked a white praline with caramel glaze. “Why him? Of all people, why him?”
“Why Levi?”
His answer hit me, and I swallowed before I spoke. “Well… Levi is beautiful from the inside out while Shay-Lee… has a really ugly personality, Jordy.”
“With all respect, Jess, I don’t owe you any explanation. I get why you don’t understand it, but I love him.”
Love? Okay, wow. It was worse than I thought, but he had a point. It wasn’t my right to judge him.
“Does he love you back?” I didn’t know why I’d asked that.
