“She told you no.”
My heart races for a whole new reason when I hear his voice, and my eyes fly to him.
My savior. He’s here, and he looks so incredibly angry.
Yak
I clocked her as soon as she walked in and couldn’t believe my eyes. She shouldn’t be here, and I can’t help but wonder why she is.
Did she figure out who I am?
As soon as the thought crosses my mind, I push it away. There’s no way she knows I’m part of this club.
Still, when she starts to scan the crowd, I can’t help but sink back into the shadows and watch. Her eyes widen when she watches the guys check over a shipment of arms they drug into the place. She skips right over the group who are snorting little white lines. I have to stop myself from chuckling when she sees the half-naked woman having darts thrown at an apple that’s on her head.
I won’t lie, it’s reassuring to know that someone else thinks this place is a little extra as well. Who knows? Maybe it’s because we are both outsiders.
A pretty blush covers her cheeks as she watches Canuck be blown while talking to Sap, and I can’t help but chuckle.
She doesn’t belong here. She’s so far out of her depth that it’s not even funny. For a split second, I contemplate going up to her, telling her to go home. Warning her that it’s not safe here, but I keep my feet planted.
She’s a grown woman and can make her own decisions.
“Hey, handsome, I’ve been looking for you.”
Out of the corner of my eye, I see the sweetbutt that I met during the first party. The one I hooked up with because it was expected.
“I’m not interested,” I tell her, not looking away from Julie.
“Oh, come on, you know that’s not true.” She tries to touch my arm, but I step to the side.
“Look, I get it. I’m the best fuck you’ve ever had, but I’m not interested. I don’t do repeats,” I tell her.
She scoffs. “You enjoyed it as much as I did. You know we work well together. Come on, Yak, just give me another shot. You won’t regret it.”
“No. It’s a complete sentence, Aspen. Now go find someone else to fuck you raw,” I say dismissively.
“That’s not my name,” she snaps.
I know, which is why I purposely said it. Should I have used my best friend Wolf’s girl’s name? Probably not, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
“Huh, I could have sworn it was,” I say, eyes going back to Julie.
“Fuck you, Yak. You weren’t that good anyway,” she snaps as she marches away.
“That’s a lie,” I say half-heartedly, not looking away from my girl.
Julie. I mean Julie.
My heart sinks as I watch Aragon push his way between Julie and her friend, and without thinking about it, I move. I push my way through the crowd.
When I get close enough, what I hear makes me see red and pisses me right the fuck off.
“No is a full sentence and can be said at any time.”
I’d laugh at how she echoed my words if I weren’t so fucking mad.
He shakes his head and laughs harder. “The little lamb walked into the slaughterhouse, didn’t she? Let me put it like this, sweet cheeks. You shouldn’t have come in here if you weren’t willing to play. Now be a good girl and come with me. I’m hard as fuck, and I’m dying to see those lips wrapped around my cock as you gag on me. I bet you cry so pretty.”
