“More…” she said before she could stop herself, the realization hitting her a moment after the word left her mouth, still tingling with the sweetness of his seed.
His eyes went wide, and he shook his head quickly, though he still straddled her waist, his erections very much present.
“More,” Lena whimpered, the sound so pathetic, but all she cared about was his cock inside her, his tentacles brushing over her bare skin.
“No more, amoreth.”
The words sent a sharp pang through her chest. Was her heart actually breaking?
“Why?” she asked, pushing herself up as Screl scrambled off the bed.
“You must clean yourself thoroughly,” he said, dressing quickly. “Promise me you will do that.”
Though she was confused as ever, she nodded, brows furrowed with concern.
“I promise.”
“Goodnight,” Screl mumbled, before turning and escaping through the door, silence echoing in her ears when it whooshed shut behind him.
He was gone.
Lena lay on the bed for a long while, the ache in her chest growing to uncomfortable levels. It was difficult to breathe, like she was having a panic attack, but this didn’t feel like something she’d experienced before.
What the fuck had just happened?
Pangs of regret shot through her, unveiling all the feelings she tried so hard to keep bottled up inside. Abandoned, undesirable. That’s all she would ever be.
She’d given him everything he wanted, but it wasn’t enough.
I told you. He wanted to fuck you so he could abandon you, just like all the others. You’re not good enough. You’ll never be good enough.
The voice had been silent in his presence, but now in his absence, it was as loud as ever.
Screl had exposed an intimate part of her that even she hadn’t known about, a need to be dominated, a need to be owned, then discarded her like she was trash. It was humiliating how easily she’d given in, begged him, even, just for him to remind her of exactly how little she mattered.
Eventually, she managed to crawl off the mattress and stumble to the bathroom, following Screl’s instructions despite wishing she could be consumed by the bed and never see the light of day again.
The heat of the shower relaxed her a bit, though she could still feel the memory of Screl between her legs, which tightened a knot in her throat. She was resigned, broken, just wanted to be back at the station, back to her normal life.
At the same time, the thought of leaving Screl and never seeing him again made her chest constrict painfully.
Whatever fucked up thing he had done to make her feel this way, no, she would not forgive him for that.
INTERLUDE
What have I done? Mistake, mistake, mistake. A mistake which almost turned into a bigger one. My desperation knows no bounds. I lost control, but somehow managed to get out despite the power of the rut. My agony is relentless, and I know she feels the same. Everything is going wrong, has gone wrong from the very first moment, and it is all my fault. I want to punish her. For being too perfect. It would be easier if she had never come to the station, easier if she were Thren. I am better off alone.
CHAPTER 14
Lena picked at her food, yawning heavily as her mind raced from the events of the previous night.
Sleep had not come easily after her shower, and she desperately wished there was more than one carafe of traxaccino with her morning meal. Any blissful haziness from being used in such a manner had turned to crystal clarity as she had curled up in the messy bed, feeling more alone than ever before.
Eventually, the tears had lulled her to sleep, but in a blink, she’d been awoken by a Thren entering with breakfast. An unknown female, but Lena’s fear was long gone, knowing that none of the crew would dare touch her, or else they’d face Screl’s wrath.
The wrath he’d taken out on her body last night in a way that made every muscle go limp.
Why was she so fucking eager for it to happen again? Especially with the way he’d dismissed her so ruthlessly afterward.
