Easing to a halt, he engaged the brake before walking over to Lucien. “This one has something loose in there. Do you want the box in a specific spot so you can check? Maybe outside, if it’s hazardous?”

“Take the shipping container inside, Street. Everything is fine.”

That hadn’t been the response he’d expected. Street wanted to ask a million questions, but the controlled expression on Lucien’s face told him to zip his lips. He returned to climb onto the driver’s seat. Inching forward, Street drove the load into the warehouse.

Lucien preceded him and guided him where to set it. The MC boss hung back as Street turned around and headed outside. A movement in his side mirror caught Street’s attention. Lucien knocked on the metal side before pressing his hand to the hard surface.

What is going on?

Corralling his thoughts, Street off-loaded the other three containers from the flatbed. Lucien worked with him individually to place the large metal boxes. Each time, he stayed behind as Street returned to the truck.

When he got the last one set down, Lucien yelled, “Good job, Street. I think they’re waiting for you in the other warehouse.” Lucien walked behind Street’s rig as he exited and pulled the doors shut to seal himself inside with the containers. Street didn’t see him for the rest of the afternoon.

Street forced himself to focus on his next jobs instead of craning to see any movement in that fifth building. When Razor called to tell him Rosa had woken up, the rest of the guys were clocking out and heading to Inferno for a drink or to the compound. Street returned his rig to its parking spot. He planned to come in an hour early tomorrow to make up any time he’d missed.

The sound of giggles reached him as soon as Street opened the door to the medical office. Honey and Rosa sat at a table behind the counter, creating figurines with tongue depressors, cotton balls, markers, and paper towel clothing. A line of Devil Daddies stood propped on the wall already.

“Our Littles are being crafty,” Razor told him with a grin. “They started with you and me before moving on to capture the likenesses of our brothers. I’m going to go shut the office and make sure the clinic is locked up.”

“We’re going to Inferno tonight to give them to everyone,” Honey said proudly as her Daddy walked down the hall.

“Can you pick out which one is you, Daddy?” Rosa asked.

“Please tell me it’s not the one with the beer bottle in his hand,” Street said.

Conspiratorial giggles erupted from the two women. They had indeed crafted a reminder of how he and Rosa had met. Street scanned the others. Scythe had a bit of fluff with a pointed beak on his shoulder. Was that a chicken? Street had to laugh. Vex’s expression was a hoot by itself. Since Rosa didn’t know the usually exasperating MC member well, Honey had revealed a tremendous talent in capturing his personality.

And Wraith? They’d doubled the figure to make him bigger than the others. His bulk loomed over everyone else.

“Where’s Razor?” Street asked.

After checking to make sure Razor was still out of sight, Honey lifted a figure from her lap where she’d obviously hidden it from her Daddy. She pressed a finger to her lips as she showed the miniature doll to Street.

Yep. That was Razor. He wore a white paper towel coat that featured a plastic bandage on the back. In his hand, the doctor held a rolled-up tube with carefully drawn lines around it—a thick thermometer. They’d even glued one of the small lollipops to his free hand.

“So, you did create my mini me,” Razor said, appearing behind Honey, who jumped in surprise.

“How did you….” Honey blurted and stopped, realizing she had given herself away.

“I came through the rear door,” Razor said as he plucked his likeness out of her hand. “Not bad. I’m handsome. You must like me.”

“I love you, Daddy,” Honey told him quickly.

“And I love my mischievous Little girl.” Razor leaned over to kiss Honey gently. “What do you say, Street? Want to go have trash can nachos with these two?”

“Is going out safe?” Rosa asked.

“No Ravager would dare come onto Devil Daddies MC turf. Besides, they’d have to get by that brute,” Street said, pointing out the hulking Wraith in the lineup.

“Wait until Winnie, Caroline, and Angel see our artwork,” Honey crowed. “Oh no. We should have done a Diablo.”

“Lucien’s busy tonight,” Razor told them. “You can create him next time. I bet the guys are going to be lined up asking you to make them next.”

Street’s stomach growled loudly. “Got everything closed, Razor? I’m ready to snack on Scythe’s chicken if we don’t go grab some food.”

Honey gasped and looked terrified. “No way! You can’t eat Patches!”

“I haven’t even met him yet!” Rosa protested.
