Chapter 14
Richard and Scarlet made their way into his well-appointed hotel suite. It was the best room available in the entire building. The room was bigger than the entire first floor of Scarlet’s home. On one side of the room stood a large, wooden executive-style desk, much like Scarlet expected Richard to have at his office at the Local Citizens Bank headquarters.
“You really go all out, don’t you?”
“Comfort is important, particularly when you’re working,” Richard replied.
“Well, you certainly have all the comfort you could want, and then some.”
“I’m glad that I can share it with you. Being able to share anything with you, be it a meal or a hotel room, always makes it better. I’m learning that more and more as we spend time together. I just feel incredibly lucky to even know you, Scarlet. You’re such a magnificent woman. I just hope I’ve lived up to your expectations.”
“You’ve lived up to all of them and more.”
Scarlet didn’t quite know where to go from here. She had a good idea of what was about to happen next, but she had never seduced a man like Richard before. He was clearly attracted to her, but she didn’t want to make him nervous. At the same time, she didn’t want to be overly aggressive.
“Should I pour us a nightcap?” Richard asked.
She thought that this would be a bad time to get drunk. This was an experience to be fully enjoyed. Scarlet wanted them both to be completely engaged and aware. The buildup was intense, but that underscored the importance of what was developing between them. Alcohol could only spell disaster. She didn’t want to reject him, but she didn’t think he would kick her out of bed for turning down a glass of wine.
“No. Unless you want to delay things,” Scarlet said, removing her top and bra. She didn’t want to be aggressive, but she figured that there was no point in postponing the inevitable.
Richard marveled at her bare torso. Scarlet had perfect, perky, C-cup breasts that bounced as she pulled her shirt over her head. Her body was perfect, and Richard wanted to savor every last bit of it. Her wavy black hair draped her bosom like a piece of elegant artwork. Richard quickly unbuttoned his dress shirt, took off his undershirt, and the two stood before each other in awe. His impeccable fitness routine showed in his defined shoulders and chiseled six-pack. The man looked like a lean Greek god, exactly as Scarlet had pictured.
They quickly removed the rest of their clothes and retired to the bed. Richard caressed every curve and undulation of her supple form with his firm, strong fingers. His touch drove her wild. They grabbed and kissed each other with increasing intensity. She felt completely safe and loved in his arms, letting herself dissolve in his grasp. Her soft hands clutched his muscular back and gripped his broad shoulders, taking refuge in the protection of his impressive physique.
He moved his hands lower, pausing to appreciate every aspect of her body from her collarbone downwards. She giggled as he passed her navel, eventually reaching her quivering, awaiting womanhood. Her hips instinctually moved, grinding against his expertly dextrous fingers. She was almost there, so she begged him to go further.
Richard thrust himself inside her. She felt that familiar pressure as he fully entered her, moving backwards and forwards, responding to the movements of her body as the tide did to the beach. The two became one as they each strove to pleasure each other as they had never been pleasured before. He leaned his head into her sweaty chest as they both grew closer and closer to climax. Scarlet cried out in ecstasy as they finished in unison, collapsing into a collective pool of sweat and satisfaction under the hotel sheets.
“That was better than I could have ever imagined,” Scarlet said, trying to catch her breath.
“It’s no surprise. I knew that we would connect with each other in every aspect of our lives. Sex is just another way that we find each other. We already knew that we could communicate extraordinarily well,” Richard responded with a wink.
The two spent lovers held each other for hours as the night turned into morning. They eventually drifted off to sleep after a marvelous evening. Neither of them thought about business or their plans for the upcoming week. There was no anxiety or trepidation. Scarlet no longer had any hesitation about her relationship with Richard. They only cared about what was happening in that room, at that moment. All was well.
Shortly before passing out, Scarlet reminisced about her initial promise to Jim. Had she not pursued Richard and asked Jim to rescind it, this never would have happened. She could not help but wonder what else she had missed out on in life because she was trying not to make any waves or upset anyone. All in all, Scarlet felt like an entirely different person, stronger and more confident in her ability to make good choices for herself. Her life was exactly where she wanted it to be. She never wanted to leave that bed, and she didn’t know how she was going to handle getting back to real life. As with so many other moments over the past few days, she figured that was an issue that could be addressed later.
The last thing she did before going to sleep was take a glance at her phone. She had a glaring notification on the front screen. There were three unread text messages from Jim. She flipped through them quickly.
The first one read, “How are things going with you know who?”
The second one read, “Seriously, you can’t have already slept with him, right? Call me! You know we have to talk about this.”
The last one read, “Well, I guess you must be busy. I won’t bug you anymore tonight. But we have to talk about this at some point. I refuse to believe you aren’t doing anything with him this weekend. You don’t let go of anything once you’ve made your mind up. Call me at some point before Monday, please!”
Scarlet laughed to herself and put the phone down on the nightstand. She would talk to Jim about it and tell him what happened. But that was a task for a different day. For now, she was in heaven, and she didn’t intend to come back to Earth even one second before she had to. She hugged Richard tightly. He was long asleep, but smiled as she squeezed him. She followed him into dreamland, where she chased visions of all the finest things in life, finding that it wasn’t all that different than what she had before her. It was a great place to be.
