All I could do was shake my head. By the time I reached the stage, the crowd was repeating the hook like it was a number one hit song.
They call him the OG, like the Chevy/
The nigga with the long green, you’ll see/
Out here serving purpose, in these streets/
You’ll neva find another, the black, vegan, plant brotha.
Dio bobbed his head as he looked at me and cheesed. “This nigga up next. I’m telling you, Chev.”
“You are too.”
He stopped as he looked at me. “I’m the Prince.”
“Nah, little nigga, you’re the king. The guys know already. I’m stepping down. The crown is yours. Just remember when it falls, pick that shit up and put it back on.”
He ran his hand over his head. Dio’s eyes watered slightly, but he knew it was his time. He earned it. I gave him a head nod. “Now it’s the King speaking life into a God.” I smiled.
He and I stood there and bobbed our heads while Scooter performed. There weren’t any other words needed to be said because Dio knew what it was, and so did I.

My Bookstore Girl,
In a few days, I will blow your mind. Of course, by the time you read this, it will have all happened. Zaria, I owe you the world because you’ve done something many have tried to do and never accomplished. You saved my life long enough for me to get to the finish line.
The day your ass ran in front of my car was the day I knew God was shifting things to bring you into my life. I knew then it was the start of something, but I wasn’t sure. However, the thought of letting your slick-ass mouth slide bothered me so much that I ended up back at the very same spot my future wife stood.
Baby, if I could have fucked you that night, I would have, but I’m a gentleman, and you know that. *wink* I want to be honest with you. You had a nigga shook. I was scared when I approached you. I wasn’t afraid you were going to beat my ass, but rather that you couldn’t see past the mask that sat before you and find a way to love me genuinely.
Bookstore Girl! That’s what I called you, and still, you are here. So, I wanted to recreate the day you stole my heart. The day I knew it would be us, running side by side. The day you chose me. I hope the night brings you all the comfort in the world. I hope the day reminds you that our slow-burning love started that day and turned into full-burning flames.
I’m going to fuck you all over that building, I’m going to stroke your soul until it meets me in the Calloverse. I’m going to remind you who Mr. Calloway is.
Now let’s get to the fun shit.
I love you from our Calloverse, but you know that.
Signed.
Mr. Fucking Calloway

June said tonight was a surprise, and he needed me to meet him somewhere. He had already convinced Samara to watch the kids, so there was no reason for me to refuse. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I wore something comfortable. I put on a brown skirt and an orange tube top. I made sure my hair was nicely fluffed out because that was what he loved most. He gave me a time, and I didn’t want to be late, so I hurried through the house, grabbed my purse, and left.
The destination wasn’t too far from the house. Actually, it was in the same shopping plaza where Bishop’s business was located. I parked my car and stepped out. I checked my phone, then looked at the building number.
“What the hell?” I smiled.
I was walking across the parking lot when the lights from an oncoming car beamed. The car sped up, then stopped only inches away from me.
