His fingers were so slippery they slid across the button, and he nearly lost control of the toy completely but he somehow managed to clench around it and turn it on at the same time. When he did, every nerve ending in his body lit up like a Christmas tree.

The release was explosive, slamming into him as he dug his free hand into the sheets beside him and thrust up onto the toy. Clenching around it, he came and came, his release arcing up and spattering messily across his thigh.

He came until ithurt, trembling and shaking and babbling how good it felt.

After a while, he heard Leif’s voice in the background, rough and raw as he said, “Turn it off when you’re ready.”

Tanner kept going for a few seconds but eventually it reallywastoo much, and he mashed at the button with slippery fingers.

“Oh my fucking God,” he panted, slowly coming down.

Tanner was still shaking a little as he lay there with his eyes closed. Little aftershocks of goodness still had his thighs twitching and he just left the toy in there and panted.

He finally unclenched his hand from the sheets and cracked an eye open. “Goddamn.”

On the screen, Leif gave him a slow smile.

“Fuck, I missed seeing you come,” Tanner said with a frown. He straightened his legs and sprawled out. The toy was still in him but threatening to shoot out of his ass if he relaxed at all. With his luck, it would hit the phone or something.

“It’s okay,” Leif said with a smile. “You’ll probably see me come again.”

“I fucking hope so.” Tanner groaned and sat up enough to reach between his legs and carefully slide the toy out, twitching a little at the nice sensations when he was so sensitive. He flung the toy aside and flopped down on the bed again, rolling his head a little to the side so he could see Leif’s face better. “Goddamn. Please promise me we’ll actually do that sometime. The club and everything I mean.”

“We can’t go to a club, Clayton.” Leif’s smile was gone and they were back to Clayton again. Leif only did that when he was feeling really annoyed but Tanner couldn’t tell if he was annoyed at him or just … annoyed that it was something they couldn’t do.

“Yeah, I know,” Tanner said with a sigh because reality had kinda harshed his mellow. “No one can know about us. I get it.”

“Do youwantto deal with the shitstorm it’ll bring if people find out?”

“No!” Tanner yelped. “Fuck no. I mean, if we were, like … in love or something that might be different, but?—”

“I’m not falling in love with you.”

“I. Know.” Tanner said, feeling a little annoyed because it was kind of rude of Leif to keep reminding him that he was the last person on earth he’d ever fall in love with. Not that Tannerwantedhim to, but it was kind of the principle of it, you know?“I’m just saying that it would be different if we were … if there were feelings. Not just … a really horny friendship.”

Leif snorted. “A really horny friendship, huh?”

“Well, how would you describe this?”

“Not like that!”

Tanner continued. “Anyway, yeah, I get that we can’t, like, go to a club in New York or Boston or whatever. That would be really fucking stupid. But there’s no reason we couldn’t meet up in Europe in the off-season or something.”

“You want to plan a hookup forJuly?”

“I don’t know!” It was only the end of February now so maybe Tanner was getting a little ahead of himself. He could barely remember to make a phone call on time. He reached for the top sheet and used it to mop at his stomach. God, he was sticky everywhere. He was going to have to hop in the shower or something before he went to sleep. “Maybe. I’m just saying, you go to Norway in the off-season, right?”

“Usually. For part of the summer, anyway. It’s the only time I get to see my extended family there.”

“So maybe I just ‘happen’ to be near there when you’re there,” Tanner argued, lying down again. “I went to Spain last summer with a couple of guys I know.”

“That isnowherenear Norway.”

Tanner snorted and shifted onto his side. “Well, I don’t know geology.”

“It’sgeography!”

“See! I told you I didn’t know anything about it.”
