The cry that tears from me at my next climax is inhuman. My eyes meet his in the mirror. His relentless assault on my pussy becomes jerky, and then his cum bathes my insides.

When his head falls into the crook of my neck again, he kisses the spot, gentling me as I shiver and struggle to catch my breath. He eases out of me, pulls me away from the dresser, and kisses me properly.

His cum runs down my thighs, and before I can reach for my grimoire to clean it up, he’s there scooping the mess up on his fingers, brushing my clit in the process. My muscles spasm, protesting the threat of pleasure even as parts of me perk up, eager for more.

Then he lifts those fingers to my mouth, his expectation clear.

Despite myself, I can’t help the way my tongue darts out to clean them, tasting the two of us mixed together. Before I can swallow, he bends, tracing my lips with his tongue until they part to give him access.

That’s all it takes. His tongue twines with mine, sharing our combined cum.

It’s filthy.

It’s hot.

I’m drowning in him, still trembling with aftershocks, and my pussy is screaming that it’s time for round two, even though I’m certain my knees will give out if he lets me go.

He draws back, throat working as he swallows, and pins me with a knowing look. I can’t help the flush that rises to my cheeks. Something wordless passes between us, and my head falls to rest against his pec, listening to the steadying thrum of his heartbeat.

“Let’s get going,” he murmurs into my hair after a long minute. “After all, you didn’t want to be late.”

I sigh. “I’ve changed my mind. I’d rather stay here with you.”

He extricates himself from my embrace, grimoire already slipping free of his holster to cast a cleansing spell that removes the evidence from my inner thighs. His silent, stubborn denial grows louder as he shimmies the skirt back into place, covering my ass. The same hands that just wrecked me are careful as they tuck my hair back into place.

His eyes blaze. “You wanted to experience things,” he reminds me. “Besides, I can’t wait to unleash you on the others in this dress.”

The possessiveness in his voice makes me squirm. There’s no way to prove it, but I have the oddest feeling he’s talking about Leo.

He wants Leo to see me in this dress. And yes, it’s unlikely that the Ó Rinn heir will ever know about what we just did, but I’ll still enter on Dakari’s arm, still dance with him.

I should scold him for rubbing his nose in it.

But the same petty, vengeful part of me that came loudly against Galileo’s door is still firmly in charge. He behaved abominably towards me and made me feel guilty for spending time with this wonderful man who adores me.

If Dakari is messing with him, I don’t care.

“I wish I could stay longer, but I’m swapping shifts with Pierce at midnight,” he adds. “But I’m sure Lambert and Jasper won’t leave your side.”

I sigh a little. He could’ve easily talked me into not going and enjoyed an evening alone with me. Instead, he’s escorting me to a date with four other men.

This man melts me.

“This is the stupidest idea,” I grumble under my breath as I drop onto the bench the other two are occupying with a groan.

They’ve chosen a spot on the very edge of the hall, but even here it’s too crowded. There are plenty of people dancing in the middle of the room, but even more are packed around the outside, drinking at tables and chattering. Everyone is shouting to be heard over the music, and it stinks of food, hay, and sweat.

It’s positivelyrural.

To add to my humiliation, my grandfather is right in the middle of the dance floor, twirling Halinor around like they’re sixteen instead of well past sixty.

I roll my eyes when he grins at me. I should’ve just gone back to my room, but he cornered me on the stairs, shoved a too-full glass of Italian Merlot into my hand, and dragged me in here. He thinks I should be ‘having fun’.

Dakari’s lip curls in a half-smile, like he finds my bad temper amusing. He’s the only one here without a drink, probablybecause he knew he was on watch. At least someone is being sensible.
