We kiss again and somehow, my cock is already surging back to life. I didn’t think it was possible to recover so quickly, but I’m not opposed to another round. Parting her legs with my hand, I delve my fingers into her wetness once again.

“I’m never ever letting you go,” I growl.

Chapter Four

Faith

When I see the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time, a smile forms on my face. Hanging out of the window of Chase’s car, I can see the city spilling out before me. It’s been a week since I met him, and this is the first time I’m getting to see the city he lives in. Between my classes and his work meetings, we’ve spent every single second we can together, making love in our hotel room and celebrating the news that I’m pregnant with his baby. Yes, I’m pregnant. Chase insisted I take a test as soon a possible to confirm what he said he already knew, that I was going to have his baby. The whole week has been like a crazy dream, but I’m loving every single second of it.

And now it’s the weekend, Chase wanted to show me the place where he spends most of his time. He’s already told me all the reasons I’ll love the city; the indie bookstores, the music scene, the tourist traps, and the pier front. He knows me so well already that it shocks me every time he seems to stare deep into my soul and present me with my heart’s desires. It’s been a week filled with gifts and love and sex, him giving me every single thing I’ve ever dreamed of. But it’s his company I love the most. Being beside him for this whole weekend is a dream come true for me.

“Do you like the city?” he asks, casually steering the car with one hand. The gesture is impossibly sexy to me for some reason.

“Of course I do. It’s beautiful,” I exclaim. He smiles and nods.

“I knew you would. It makes so much sense for you to love it as much as I do. I keep thinking of all the places I’m going to take you once you move here.”

I smile. We’ve already talked about me moving to his San Francisco penthouse the moment my studies end. I want to finish my degree, of course, and I have to do that in New York. Fortunately, until I finish my exams in three months, Chase is going to be staying with me at the hotel. I’ve already ended my lease at my apartment so we can stay in our luxurious guest room together for the next few months. Everything is working out just perfectly.

“I can’t wait,” I say honestly. I feel his hand slide onto my thigh and I feel a tingle between my legs. He turns me on every single time he touches me. I wonder if I’ll ever ride out this high or whether this is my life now. Maybe he’ll keep me on my toes like this for the rest of my life. I certainly hope so.

Chase’s apartment is right in the thick of the city in one of the richest areas. Every building here seems to glisten in the cold sunshine. As we get out of the car and Chase leads me to the elevator, he puts his arm around me to protect me from the chilly air. It makes me feel so warm inside. All I’ve ever wanted is for a man to look after me, and Chase has gone above and beyond to make me feel safe with him. Now, as I look to our future together, I know that as long as he’s beside me, nothing bad can ever happen to me.

As we take the elevator up to the penthouse, he kisses me hard, backing me up against the wall of the elevator. I giggle like a schoolgirl, kissing him back. Every opportunity we get, we’re on each other like this. It’s almost impossible to keep our hands off one another. It’s hard to believe that a week ago, I had no idea what sex would be like. Now, as his hand travels up my thigh and under my skirt, a thrill jolts my heart in anticipation.

The doors open and Chase smiles at me, removing his hand.

“To be continued,” he growls. “Let me show you around first.”

I want to carry on, but I’m also desperate to see the place where he spends so much of his time. As I look around, it screams him. The walls are covered in expensive art, his furniture is made exclusively of polished leather, and the kitchen is made of sleek and shiny marble. The whole thing screams of a rich businessman with more money than he could possibly need, but it still feels homely. Chase takes my hand and leads me through the apartment.

“If you like the interior, wait until you see outside.”

I gasp as we step out onto the rooftop patio together. It’s got a beautiful seating area, with three long benches gathered around a fire pit in the middle. The patio is kept private by a number of tall plants around the outside, but I can still see the incredible view beyond, all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge itself.

“It’s beautiful,” I whisper. Chase nods.

“I think so too. And that’s why I thought it was the perfect place to ask you a very important question…”

Chase

I watch her face contort in shock as I get down on one knee in front of her. She can barely believe that I’m doing this so soon, but she shouldn’t be surprised. This week has been the best of both our lives. I know it’s true without even having to ask her. It’s been crazy and sexy and wild, and I don’t ever want this feeling to end. That’s why I have to let her know exactly what she means to me right now.

“Faith...the moment I saw you, everything changed. I knew I wanted to make you a permanent fixture in my life. I didn’t know that love, at first sight, could exist, but from that moment onward, I was sure of it. I loved you within a second, baby. And now, my life has meaning to it. I’ve always had beautiful things, expensive things, but you’re worth more than anything money can buy. Still, I hope that you will love the ring I picked for you because a diamond like you deserves the most expensive diamond that money can buy.”

She gasps as I show her the ring. It sparkles in the sunshine and shows off its insane beauty. I knew she’d love it the moment I laid eyes on it, and I didn’t care how much it cost. She is worth every dollar and more.

“I’ve got everything under lock and key, except you. I want us to be tied to one another forever. Not just by the child growing inside you, but by marriage. I want every day to be as special as this week has been, and I know that with you, it will be. I want to share my riches with you, to give you the life you deserve, to show you that my love for you is endless. Faith, will you marry me?”

There are tears in her eyes as she nods. “Of course I will. I love you.”

“I love you too.”

I guess good things do come to those who wait. After forty years of waiting, I’ve finally found the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. I slide the ring onto her finger and then sweep her up into my arms, kissing her hard. I take her inside, knowing exactly what I need to do now.

“I haven’t shown you the bedroom yet,” I growl. She giggles.

“Then I guess we’d better change that.”
