He pulls out slowly and pushes back in and I realize he's making love to me. A tear slips down as he doesn't break eye contact with me. My heart is bursting with so much love forthis man. I throw my head back as he thrusts deep, my body becoming alive, my orgasm right at the surface.
My toes curl as he leans down and kisses my pulse point. His pace picks up, and I know he's close, just like I am. “Please,” I beg.
Our skin slaps together, our breaths ragged in the quiet of the room. “Fuck, every time I slide in you it feels like coming home.” He lowers his hand and rubs my clit. “Come for me, darlin.” He grits out between his teeth, and that's all it takes for me to fly over the edge.
“Daniel!” I scream his name as my orgasm makes my vision go black as the blood rushes to my ears.
He pumps his hips before throwing his head back, yelling out my name, and cums. My legs fall, feeling totally spent. He lays down on me as we try to catch our breath.
“Shit. Give me ten and we can go again,” he mumbles, making me laugh. He lifts his head and winks at me. “Love you, darlin.”
“I love you too, Daniel.”
He lifts up and pulls out of me, and I can feel him freeze as he looks down. “What is it?”
“I didn't use a condom.”
My body freezes and panic sets in. “I'm not on birth control,” I whisper-yell and look at Daniel to see him smiling at me as if he’s having the time of his life.
He shrugs his shoulders, still smiling, while I'm having an internal panic attack. “Darlin, we are getting married, and if a baby comes sooner rather than later, I will be happy.”
As soon as he says that, the panic eases, and I smile at him. “I've always wanted to be a mom.” I can picture a little boy who looks like him running around in the backyard raising all kinds of hell.
He leans down and kisses my lips. He lays down and pulls me until I'm lying on his chest. “You will be the best mom. I'm right here, darlin and not going anywhere. I love you.”
I snuggle closer to his side, listening to his heartbeat as it relaxes me. “I love you, Daniel, so much.”
As his breaths even out, I lie here in his arms. I realize how much my life has changed, how much I’ve grown, fallen, and risen again. I reflect on how much I've lost, but also gained. Love has a way of weaving itself into every corner of your soul, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. And my love for him has become the anchor in my storm, the light in my darkness.
He’s the reason I believe in forever, even when the world feels uncertain. I don't know what tomorrow is going to look like, but I know with Hawk beside me I can face anything. His strength, quiet and fierce, grounded me when I thought I’d falter. His love, raw and relentless, made me stronger than I ever imagined I could be.
Looking back, I see now that life isn’t about the grand moments alone. It’s about these quiet, stolen seconds, about holding onto what truly matters: love, loyalty, the unspoken promises that hold us together. I know deep in my heart that no matter what comes next, I will love him fiercely until my last breath. Because love, real love, isn’t just a fleeting spark. It’s the eternal flame that guides us home.
He is my forever. And I am eternally grateful for the love we share, my past, my present, and my endless future.
Epilogue
Avianna
It's taken me a long time to get to the place I'm at today. Even when I knew I no longer had to look over my shoulder in fear of someone wanting to hurt me. Hawk never wavered; he stood by me through everything. Even when I would fall apart thinking of the past, he was right there catching me before I could fall. My world is now brighter than before, and it’s all thanks to himand the love he has for me. Each day my love for him grows. We didn’t want to wait to be married, so we planned a simple wedding for the same month we got engaged with all our family and friends in the backyard, and to my surprise Declan showed up with his wife and walked me down the aisle. I’ve gotten close with him and Nolan, getting to get a glimpse into my mom's life back in Ireland. We've gone to visit Boston a few times and did go to the family reunion, which was huge. I never knew so many of my extended family existed. They all brought a piece of my mom with them to give to me.
The day after my birthday and everything that went down with my uncle. A lawyer contacted me about my inheritance. It didn’t take long for the transfer to go through, and I had so much money I didn’t know what to do with it. It felt wrong to touch it every time I looked at my banking app. The numbers made me sick to my stomach, knowing why I had so much money. I knew I wanted to do something with it, so I broached the topic with the girls, and together we came up with the idea of opening a shelter for abused women and children.
We wanted to build something where they would have a safe place to land. With endless resources for them. Where they wouldn’t have to look over their shoulders in fear like I did, as well as Scarlett and Bailey. It's practically a fortress, and no one can get in unless authorized. We left the vetting to the guys with Crow doing extensive background checks on the people who work with us. We teamed up with the police and hospitals around our area and beyond. And we will make damn sure they stay safe. No one should feel like they are trapped and can't get out. With a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, Harbor of Hope was born. Today we open our doors to so many women and children who need it, and I couldn't be more proud of what we all accomplished here. I look around the courtyard and smile.
Arms wrap around me and hold my very pregnant belly. Our little girl is nestled in my belly, growing every day, and I can’t wait until she’s in our arms. “How are my girls doing?”
I sink into Hawk's arms, my favorite place to be. “A little tired, your daughter kept me up most of the night.”
He nuzzles my neck, kissing the spot behind my ear. “I will have to have a talk with her later about keeping her mama up at night.”
I snort. He can do that all he likes, but my girl thinks nighttime is for parties in mommy's belly. I have a feeling she’s going to be a whirlwind when she’s older. “Where are Sean and Lucas?” Our three-year-old twins are like tiny tornadoes, always getting into everything. They both look exactly like Hawk, right down to their scowls. They even have their own little cuts and ride tiny Harleys. I could have killed Joker for that one when he brought them over.
I can feel Hawks' shoulders moving up and down with laughter. “They are with Joker. He is on children duty today.”
I sigh because that can only mean one thing. “What did he do this time?” I swear he's forever pranking his wife and us. Though children duty is a great punishment because there are a lot of them. The MC is running wild with so many kids now, and I love it.
“He thought it would be funny to place a cutout of Gollum on the bathroom counter. So when Madison turned on the light, that's the first thing she saw. He even got the kids to help him.”
