“Something like what?”
“Do you trust me?”
I rolled my eyes.“I think you already know the answer to that.”
“I’m being serious, Princess.”
Wait, why did he call me that, and why did it make something in me tingle?
“Something like what, Klever?”
“Something like giving me complete control of your mind and body for the next hour or so.”
My pussy had no business reacting to his words. This was KD! My hormones were obviously all messed up. I should have known it when I started thinking about how sexy he was all of a sudden. This was my little brother’s friend. He was practicallystill a child. Well, he was twenty years old, but to me, he would always be Supreme’s annoying friend with the cute little crush on me.
“I’m not doing anything crazy.”
“I would never ask you to,” he said, crossing the room to pick his phone up off the couch. “When was the last time you danced?”
Now he was speaking my language. It had been a few weeks since I’d made the time. I had been feeling shitty for a while. Maybe a good dance session was exactly what I needed. The intro to “Move Your Body” by Baby Ray filled the air. It was one of my favorite songs to dance to. I wasn’t sure how or if KD even knew that. The grin that covered his face as he crossed the room said that he might have been aware.
He extended a hand to me, and I rolled my eyes playfully as I accepted his advance. My cheeks had the nerve to flush like I was nervous as he pulled me closer to him. Damn he smelled good. As we moved in sync, he raised my hands over my head, letting his hands run down my back as he pulled my soft body against his hard frame.
His clean scent did something weird to my brain. The feeling was only amplified when his eyes dropped to my lips. My throat tightened when I got the urge to kiss him first. I had to be losing my damn mind. A broken heart did that to a girl sometimes. I couldn’t look at him anymore, so I turned my back to him and continued to gyrate my hips to the music.
“I love to watch you move, Princess.” His deep voice sounded extra sexy when it was directly in my ear.
Feeling his hardness pressed against my ass should have made me take off running upstairs, but clearly, my body was not my own anymore. I shuddered when his lips landed on the back of my neck. What the hell was going on, and why did I kinda love it?
Was it wrong to want to feel wanted for a change? Maybe it was, but I was tired. Actually, I was exhausted. I was tired of fighting. I was tired of crying, tired of trying to figure things out. I just wanted to exist for a while. If KD could help me with that, maybe it wasn’t so bad.
“K, we can’t,” I said, deciding to keep my brain turned on.
“Yes we can,” he countered.
“What about Supreme? You know he is going to nut up if he finds out.”
“We’re both adults, baby. What happens in this room will stay here. You can trust me.”
I turned to face him so he could see how serious I was. “I’m not messing up y’all’s friendship just because I’m sad.”
“Seeing you sad is about to get me a murder charge. Unless you want to tell me what happened, I’m going to start drawing my own conclusions, starting with your fuck boy and working my way down.”
“KD, don’t.”
“Well, help me out, Sage. I need to clear my head just as much as you do.”
With his eyes on me, my defense was a little shaky. Since when did this little boy have that kind of effect on me? I wanted him to do whatever he planned to do to clear our minds. I just needed both of us to forget about it once we left this room. I didn’t want him getting any ideas.
Supreme would never forgive us for messing around behind his back. He always forbade his friends from even looking my way, let alone whatever KD had in mind behind those smoldering dark eyes.
The song changed to “Dance for You.” He backed off and walked over to the couch. Picking his phone up from the coffee table, he restarted the song. When his eyes were back on me, I thought I would faint. Who the hell was this person sitting infront of me with his long legs spread like he was beckoning for me? Why were my feet moving in his direction?
“Dance for me, Princess,” he said before I could reach him.
“What?”
“You heard me. Don’t think, just dance. You not afraid to dance, are you?”
