“Aurora, that’s all I’ve ever fucking wanted,” I told her, my voice sounding foreign to my own ears.“I’ll take you any way that I can get you, but if you think for one second that I’m going to fuck up after you give yourself to me wholeheartedly, then you’re crazy.”
She gave me a terse nod before saying, “I’ll continue to do jobs for my father if he needs me to, though I’ll do my best to keep you as informed as I can.”
Everything in me wanted to argue against that, but I knew that I’d lose her if I did.“Okay...is there anything else?”
“I want back on the prostitution project,” she answered, and that was an easy give.
“Okay, I’m fine with that,” I assured her.“Anything else?”
“If you ever bring up another woman again-”
My lips on hers stopped her from finishing that sentence.Even if I deserved it, I was suffering from that mistake enough as it was, so all I could do was show her how she really was my everything.
Chapter 28
Aurora~
With the way that Viktor was kissing me, I knew that it was time to stop throwing other women in his face, and with good reason.Deep down, I believed his explanations, but while that didn’t mean that I’d ever excuse his behavior, it was time to move on.
Iwantedto move on.
“There’s only you,” he said against my lips.“God, I need you to believe that.”
Instead of having this conversation right now, I reached up, then wrapped my arms around my husband’s neck, and he immediately reached down to grab my thighs, lifting me to wrap my legs around his waist.
“Down the hallway, the last door on your right,” I said, giving him directions to my bedroom, knowing that he needed to feel close to me right now.We were a mess, and it was time for me to do my part to salvage this marriage.
When we got to my bedroom, I could feel my heart starting to beat harder.Even though my entire house was my safe place, my bedroom was more than that; it was me.With the exception of my office, the rest of my condo was available to guests.Yeah, they’d been few and far between, only my family visiting me regularly, but even family understood the personal implications of someone’s bedroom.A person’s bedroom was the most personal space in someone’s house, and mine was no different.
Walking into the room, Viktor could see how dark grey was my favorite color. He could see how I liked to read enough to have a small bookshelf in my room.He could see that I liked to sit in a rocking chair as I read.He could see so much without me even saying a word, and whether planned or not, I had invited him into a world that no other man had ever seen before.
Instead of dropping me on the bed, Viktor walked me to the bathroom, then sat me down on the counter, his hands still on my hips, and when I opened my legs for him to step between, I could feel how hard he was for me already, and I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to get used to his size and the way that he never failed to fill me up so completely.
“I love you,” he said, his blue eyes flaring with the truth.“I love you so fucking much, Aurora.”
I couldn’t lie and say that I didn’t feel anything when he said those words to me, and when his eyes glowed with each word, it was even harder not to say it back to him.Whether Viktor realized it or not, those blue eyes of his were hypnotizing, and if I were a lesser woman, I would have fallen under his spell the moment that I’d said my vows.
