This could not be happening.

I opened my mouth to scream and he punched the back of my head, making me so dizzy for a second that I just slumped under him.

The alpha was so turned on that he finished in seconds, but it was more than enough to hurt. He grunted as he exploded deep inside and I vomited, barely managing to turn my face to the side.

As Rory tucked himself away, Jake pushed him away and jerked me upright by one arm. He dragged me toward my room, moving so fast I could barely keep my feet under me.

I glanced back and saw Candace's shocked face and Daryl's stricken face, his eyes fixed on mine, for a moment before I was shoved roughly into my room.

"Get cleaned up. We'll deal with dinner tonight." Jake slammed the door and locked it.

Across the room, on the other side of my window, fresh new steel bars blocked any escape. I ran to open the window and tried to push the bars, but they were just as sturdy as they looked. I was trapped.

Barred

Jude

"They put bars on her windows!" Oren burst into the kitchen where I was busy prepping dinner.

"Bars? So she can't even stick her head out?" I growled.

"I texted her, but she's not answering." He dug his fingers into those curly locks and paced. "Jude, what the hell do we do?"

"We get her out of there. I'm done waiting." I strode out to the back porch and peered over the fence. Sure enough, there were strong metal bars over her window. The bastards hadn't been content with locking her door, now they'd taken away all her access.

"I'm going over." I grabbed the top of the fence, but Oren stopped me.

"They're all home right now. You can't get the bars off, Jude. As soon as they're gone, we go in and break her out."

My heart was racing, but there was no way I was going to leave my omega in that hellhole. We'd waited long enough for Santi to find some law or loophole that would let us take her.

That night, I couldn't eat. I was too busy thinking about Emilia and what she was feeling right now. I should have made one of the alphas bite her sooner. Then we'd have an inside view of her mind.

I picked up my phone and sent another message:

Jude: Are you hurt?

She didn't respond and I slammed the phone down.

"She's hurt. I know she is. That's why she's not answering," I roared. "We have to get her out of there, Santi."

"I know. I think I have a plan, now that they've done this."

"What? What the hell is the plan? Because we can't let her suffer like this!"

"If they're mistreating her, locking her in and the bars are proof, then we can have them remove her from the home."

"That just gets her tossed in ORC again," Oren sighed.

"No, not this time. I've been busy getting us designated as a safehouse for omegas. We still need to do the interviews, but I think we can have those done this week. They need to talk to each of you before we are official."

"A safehouse?" I cocked my head. "What do you mean?"

"OPA can't keep all the omegas who need help and if they're in trouble, they need an emergency place to stay, kind of like a foster home for omegas," Santi explained. "If we're a safehouse, we could take her in."

"Don't they have to assign you an omega?" Oren asked.

"Yes, but I have a friend in the OPA who is willing to help us get assigned the omega we want. He knows the situation and he's been helping me. We couldn't do anything earlier because it takes time to get the paperwork done and there was no proof she was being mistreated."
