"Where is he?"

"In the living room."

"Stay with him?" I begged Kienan. "He's not okay."

"I'll stay."

Zephyr ran upstairs with me and just as we entered Vale's bedroom. He carried me straight into the bathroom.

Vale jumped up from the bed and ran into the bathroom after us, just as Zephyr set me on the counter.

"First aid kit?"

"Here. What the hell happened?"

"Dean claimed her."

"What?!"

Vale pulled a first aid kit out of the cupboard and opened it up. "What do we need?"

"Stitches, but we can't take her to the hospital."

Vale peered at the wound and started dabbing at it with little pads. While he did that, Zephyr filled a basin and added some iodine before he grabbed a clean washcloth and started to clean everything around the wound.

"That looks bad." Vale sounded on edge, but he stayed present, the fogginess not taking over his eyes as he focused on pulling on gloves.

To my surprise, they had needles and everything to do stitches. Vale was shaking as he prepared the needle and thread.

"Hey, Vale," I said gently, touching his face.

"Yeah?"

"I'm okay. Relax. I'm not going to die."

"No, you're not. Not on my watch." He glared at me and then looked at the bite mark. "This is going to hurt like a bitch."

It did, but I'd been through worse. I closed my eyes and held onto Zephyr's hand while Vale worked. His breath ghosted over my shoulder and I shuddered at the way it made me feel. Even though I'd just had two orgasms, my body felt on edge and wanting. This was ridiculous.

Finally, Vale finished with the stitches and bandaged the entire area, taping the edges of the gauze down firmly. He kissed me on the lips gently.

"There, it's done. He'll need to tend it if it's going to stay healthy," Vale said with a small growl. "Under supervision."

"Of course," Zephyr agreed.

"I need to go see him," I told them. "He's desperate."

"He can wait," Vale grumbled, pulling me into his arms. He inhaled deeply.

Dean's anxiety filtered through the new bond and I tried to send reassuring feelings back to him. It wasn't helping though.

"Vale. He needs me right now. You can let me go."

"Won't." He wrapped himself more tightly around me. "Stay."

"Vale." He wasn't letting me go. "Let go."

It took a moment, but he sniffed my hair deeply and finally opened his arms.
