“She left early, stickin’ me with closin’ the shop, and haven’t seen her since.”

“For fuck’s sake.”

Nix shook his head. “Can’t wait for the dispensary to open so I—Hold up. What the fuck’s goin’ on? Why you lookin’ for them?”

“Just tryin’ to find out where they are. They weren’t supposed to go anywhere.”

Nix’s head jerked back. “Why not?”

“‘Cause…” Rage growled and shook his head. That shit didn’t matter at this point. “Vi called me, said they were following some Souls.”

“Why the fuck would they follow Souls?”

“No fuckin’ clue.” He wasn’t even sure any of the women, besides Violet and Indigo, knew how they planned on dealing with the Pittsburgh Mafia, so they’d have no reason to follow them. “Need you to stick here and if they show up, call me.”

“Here? Don’t wanna?—”

Rage went over to his Harley, throwing a leg over. “Nix! Stay here and lemme know if your sister shows the fuck up!” he barked. He hit the ignition button. “Headin’ to the clubhouse.”

“But—”

Whatever Nix said next was drowned out by Rage revving his engine and taking the fuck off toward Church.

“This ain’ta false alarm this time. They are fuckin’ missin’. Vi can’t ping their goddamn phones.”

“Shit.” Zeke dropped his head and squeezed his forehead. “Why the fuck were they followin’ the Souls?”

“Vi said they were out and about and encountered them on their way home,” Reaper informed everyone else in that room, sounding a fuck of a lot calmer than Rage.

Luckily, Zeke had already been at Church for whatever reason. Reaper, Grim, and Ghost rolled in on their sleds seconds after Rage.

Now they were in an impromptu meeting to figure out their next steps since they didn’t have an exact location for the women. They could be anywhere by now. The only thing Vi knew for sure was they’d been heading north on Fisher Road between The Pink Pearl and Shadow Valley.

That was a damn lonely stretch of country road, especially at night. But it was where they could start the search and look for any clues.

“But why the fuck were they followin’ them?” Zeke asked. “Did they want revenge after those assholes crashed into the Furry Angels?”

“No,” Reaper answered. “Somehow they knew our teamis collecting data on the drug runs and they were providing it.”

“How the fuck did they know ’bout that?” Rage roared, slamming a hand on the table. “Who the fuck told them to do that shit?”

Grim shrugged. “They’re women. ’Nough said.”

“They had to have heard it somewhere,” Ghost said next.

“Does it fuckin’ matter at this point?” Zeke asked. “There’s only one goddamn thing that matters right now and that ain’t it.”

He was right. The only thing that mattered at that time was finding the damn women. Not only finding them, but finding them unharmed. They could deal with those fucking Souls later.

The red haze had returned, not only clouding his vision, but his thoughts as well. His insides were tight and twisting like a tornado.

“Why the fuck are we still sittin’ here?” he roared. “We gotta find them!”

When he surged to his feet, he took the table with him, flipping it onto its side and causing everyone to slide their chairs backward.

“Jesus.”

“Holy fuck!”
