I keep going until I’m out of the cemetery and down the street a little ways before ducking behind a tree. I lean against it to catch my breath, eyes squeezed together at the pain as I suck in deep breaths.

“We have to find her!” I hear Jasper shout again in the distance. Shit. They left the cemetery, and they’re so close. “Either she dies, or we do.”

Not wanting to stick around to find that out for myself, I keep going until I get to where I parked my Jeep.

Shoving my hand into the bag, I grab my keys and unlock my door. Getting in, I toss everything into the back seat, not caring about the mess it’s making, and put this baby in drive.

My heart doesn’t stop racing until I’m pulling into my driveway. Still, I don’t allow myself to relax until I’m inside my house.

I gather everything from the back seat and rush inside, locking the doors as if they’re right behind me.

Leaning against the door, I close my eyes and let out a big sigh. After a second, I push off the door and race upstairs. I’m freezing, and a nice hot shower would be amazing right about now.

Ridding myself of the wet clothes, I throw them into the hamper and turn the water as hot as I’m able to take it, sighing in relief as the heat starts to sink into my bones.

I let the water rain down over me, eyes closed, head tipped back. After I’m warm enough, I start to wash my body, which is a lot dirtier than I expected.

I’m covered in cum, blood, and dirt. I watch as they mix together on the shower floor and down the drain.

My eyes drop to the gash on my thigh, cursing as blood continues to pour down my leg.

It’s going to need some stitches. How deep did they go? At least they didn’t hit anything important.

Carefully, I do my best to clean it up, planning on dealing with it after I’m out of the shower.

When I start to wash between my legs, I hiss as the pain reminds me of what happened.

I lost my virginity tonight, and it was fucking amazing. Better than I could have ever imagined.

Too bad the night didn’t end how I’d wanted it to.

Thankfully, everything worked out. I got what I wanted, and they have no idea it was me. I got away. Although I can’t help but feel bad for the trouble I ended up causing.

Was Jasper right? Will they pay with their lives for this?

I won’t let it come to that. If I have to reveal myself in order to keep it from getting to that point, I will.

But for now, I plan on keeping my mouth shut and waiting to see where the cards fall.

CHAPTER

WESLEY

“What the fuckdo you think you’re doing!?” Jasper snatches the cigarette from my lips, tossing it onto the cemetery ground.

I heave out a sigh, giving him a slow blink. “I was going to have a smoke. That was my last one.”

His lip pulls back into a snarl as he steps forward, getting in my face. “Do you think this is a fucking joke?”

“I’m not laughing, am I?” I raise a brow.

“Do you not understand how much shit we’re in?” he asks, voice low and dangerous.

“What do you want me to say?” I ask. “We spent three hours looking for her. She’s gone. Not a trace. The best we can do is look at the cameras in the surrounding areas, but I don’t think that's going to help much considering she probably didn’t go home naked, and her mask is right here.” I lift the teal bunny mask up to show him. It hangs from my finger, dripping with rainwater and mud.

He snatches it from my hand and snaps it in two, tossing it at my feet. “We fucked up. We need to fix it.”
