Who knew having a girlfriend would change us so much?
No, not a girlfriend. Nola. She is and will always be the only exception. The only girl we’d ever want or need.
Anyways, because my Lola Girl wants to leave me for the next few days, I’ve resorted to climbing through her bedroom window to set up a camera.
“Damn it,” I curse when I try to climb the drainpipe and slip again. Why the fuck does this look so easy in the movies? I’ve climbed into windows before, but Nola’s is at a weird angle.
“Here,” a voice has me reacting. Grabbing the gun from its holster, I spin around, aiming at the person who dared to fucking sneak up on me.
I let out a sigh of relief when I see it’s Toren, Nola’s dad. “Fucking hell, man.” I blow out a breath, my heart pounding in my chest. “Don’t sneak up on me like that. I almost shot you.”
He raises a brow. “You’re on my property, trying to sneak into my daughter's room in the middle of the night while she’s sleeping. You’re lucky it’s not me with the gun pointed at you.”
I huff out a laugh, putting the gunaway. “You have a point.”
“Look, I don’t want to know what you have planned right now, as long as you don’t hurt my daughter. Whatever you all get up to, that's your business. But for the love of god, if you insist on climbing through her fucking window, use this ladder and do not destroy my fucking property. You break that drainpipe, youwillreplace it.”
“Oh shit,” I chuckle. “Thanks, man.” Taking the ladder from him, I place it against the house.
Turning back to him with my brows furrowed, I ask, “Why are you okay with this? Most fathers would kill any guy who’s trying to sneak into their daughter’s room.”
“Because if I killed you, it would mean war, and I like my life as it is. I don’t want trouble. And, if you died, Nola would hate me. My daughter is my world. Also, if I told you to leave, would you?”
“No?” I say it as a question.
“Then this is the next best thing if it means you don’t break anything or wake my wife up. Whatever goes on in that room, I don’t wanna hear. Because then I’d be forced to kill you.”
“You got it, Pops.” I give him a salute. “I love your father/daughter relationship with Nola. It's very wholesome.”
“Wholesome,” he repeats with a chuckle. “Not sure if I’d call helping my daughter become a serial killer wholesome, but thanks.”
“Don’t sell yourself short there, big guy. She had a dream, and you supported her rather than telling her it was stupid and shutting it down. That's big. She’s gonna remember that for the rest of her life. She loves you. You're her idol.”
Toren shifts uncomfortably, clearing his throat. “Thanks,” he mutters. “I’m just glad the three of you pulled your heads out of your asses.”
“Trust me, so are we,” I chuckle.
“I’m going to leave you to do… whatever you're about to do.” He waves me off. “Just remember, you hurt my daughter, I will kill you.”
“I won’t do anything your daughter doesn’t want me to,” I promise.
He shudders. “I need to mind my own business,” he grumbles before walking back into the house.
He’s a good guy. I’m glad to have him as a business partner. Now a father-in-law.
“Now, where was I?”
Carefully, I climb the ladder, making sure not to make much noise. Do I care if Nola knows I’m putting a camera up, not really? I know she wouldn’t care. But if she doesn’t know about it, she’s less likely to be careful about what she says or does in its presence.
She mentioned how she watched us jerk off and played with herself while she did, it’s only fair that I get the same opportunity.
When I get to her window, I’m surprised to not only find it open, but there's no screen. It’s like she wants me to sneak into her room in the middle of the night.
Climbing in, I take a second to look around.
“I’ve always wondered what her room looked like,” I mumble to myself.
There’s a loud fan buzzing, drowning any subtle sounds I might make. I find her sleeping, sprawled out on her bed, the sheet pulled down.
