“No.” Nola laughs. She moves around the girl so that she’s behind her, then pulls out a blade.

I watch with heated eyes as Nola brings the blade to the girl's throat and slices it clean across. Blood starts to spill down her neck, dripping to the rocks below.

“Hold this.” Nola hands Wesley her bloody knife.

Wesley takes it with a raised brow, watching our girl with fascination just like I am. Nola grabs her bag and pulls out a camera. “Picture time,” she cheers, grabbing the girl's head and lifting it up enough so that she can take the photo. “Cheeese,” she says before snapping the photo. We hear the sound of the camera just as a photo slowly comes out. “Hold this.” She takes the photo and shakes it for a few seconds before handing me the photo.

I watch as she moves around like a hyper pixie, doing her thing.

Next, she pulls out a box and tape. Taking a piece of the tape, she puts it over the girl's lips before opening the box and taking out a preserved butterfly. “There we go.” She places the butterfly on the girl's lips. “Almost done.” She darts over to me. “Is that photo good, or should I take another one?”

Looking down at the photo, my brows rise. It’s fucked up. This girl's eyes are half open, her lips parted with blood spilling from her throat as my masked girlfriend presses her face against the girl’s.

“Ah, yeah,” I chuckle, handing it back. “Looks good to me.”

“Thanks.” She snatches it from me and darts back over to the girl. She tucks the photo into the girl’s bra and steps away.

“Now are we done?” Jasper asks, sounding annoyed.

Nola crosses her arms and huffs. “Do you not know how to have any fun?” she asks.

“No,” Jasper growls.

“Well, learn. Because life is short and I try to enjoy every moment,” she says. “And just because this girl’s life is over, doesn’t mean she can’t still have a little fun.”

“I feel like I’m in a fever dream,” Wesley mutters as he steps up next to me, watching as Nola grabs the swing. She walks backward with it as far as she can before letting go.

The girl starts to swing back and forth, her body drifting from side to side, blood being flung around all over the place.

“Look at her go!” Nola laughs, clapping her hands. “That looks like so much fun. I wanna swing, too,” she says. “Jasper, can you keep pushing her? Wesley, come push me.”

“You're joking, right?” Jasper asks in disbelief as Nola gets into the swing next to the girl.

I’m fucking on cloud nine right now. This is the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen, but I’m so here for it. I’m loving every moment.

I watch with pure joy as Wesley starts to push Nola on the swing, a rare grin on his face. He’s not sure what to make of this either, but we’re going along with it.

I don’t think Jasper has really grasped just how nuts our girl is until right this moment.

“Come on, man. You don’t wanna make her sad. Be a good boyfriend and push the dead girl on the swing.”

He glares at me. “You fucking do it.”

“She didn’t ask me, did she?”

“Jasper, push her. She’s going to slow down.”

“I can’t believe this is my fucking life right now,” he snarls, but the big fucker goes over to the girl and starts to push her, cringing every time the girl starts to spin. “This is so fucked up.”

“I think it’s adorable,” I chuckle, watching them all.

After a few minutes, Jasper steps away from the girl.

“We have to go now.”

“Fine.” Nola swings high one last time before jumping off, landing in a crouch. “That was fun. I can’t rememberthe last time I got to swing. You sure we can’t stay and play?” she asks, looking at the rest of the playground.

“Not unless you want this plan to go to shit,” Jasper grumbles.
