“Then it’s a good thing I love the color red.” I shrug.

“You’re fucking crazy,” he huffs low, sounding frustrated.

“So I’ve been told.” I smile.

“You’re a stubborn, bratty, reckless woman,” he adds.

“Maybe,” I tell him. “But it’s who I am. I’m not going to change for anyone, so why should you?”

His eyes flick between mine before he lets out a feral growl.

His lips crash down to mine, hungry and fierce.

I whimper, reaching out to grasp his suit jacket. Curling my fingers into the fabric, I part my lips, letting his tongue slip in and over mine. He kisses me like he hates to love me, all teeth and tongue.

My head spins, my core aches, and all too soon it’s over.

He rips his lips from mine, leaving me panting heavily. “If you show up tonight, know that there’s no going back. If you ever want an out, if you ever try to leave, we won’t let you. I’ve held myself back for way too fucking long, and once I have you, I’m never letting go. So make sure this is what you want; make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into before you show up. You’ve been warned.”

With that, he turns around and leaves. Wesley gives me a smirk, and Sylas winks before following after Jasper.

“Girl, even I creamed my panties a little bit. That man can kiss.”Callie steps up next to me, waving her hand in front of her face like she's cooling herself off.

“I can kiss better,” Garrett growls.

“I’m sure you can, big guy.” She pats his chest.

“Wanna find out?” He wiggles his brows.

“Not in your wildest dreams.”

The two of them stare at one another so intensely. I don’t know who they’re fooling, but it’s not me. They might not be together, but something is going on. And I bet Callie already knows what it’s like to kiss Garrett and wants more.

“What time is it?” I ask, interrupting them.

Garrett blinks before pulling out his phone. “Shit,” he hisses. “It’s twelve forty-five.”

“Fuck.” My eyes widen, fearing I might not make it there in time.

“Don’t worry,” he says. “I’ll drive you.”

We leave, heading outside to where Garrett parked his car down the street. He opens the trunk and hands me a white night gown. “Here.”

“Thanks. But where the hell am I going to change?” I ask, looking around.

“Uhh.” Garrett looks too. “I’ll turn around, and you just do it here.”

“Fucking hell,” I mutter, but I don’t argue, knowing I don’t have any time to waste.

Callie helps me out of my dress, and I quickly change. “Okay, I’m good.”

We fold up the dress and stick it in the trunk before getting in the car.

My bare foot bounces as the seconds tick by. The whole ride, I vibrate with nervous excitement, the anticipation killing me.

When we pull up to the cemetery, it’s two minutes to one.

“Have fun!” Callie sings songs.
