“Important to the club.”

“Of course to the club. What the fuck is wrong with you?”

“Nothing,” he huffs. Shakes his head, folds his arms, then unfolds them. “She doesn’t need the stress.”

“Get your shit together,” I say it as his Vice President. “She can help us catch the fucker who did this, she will want to be a part of it. And you should want that too.”

He scrubs a hand over his hair, about to speak when a voice comes from beyond the door we’re standing nearest to.

“Stop talking about me and get in here.”

Beast curses and shakes his head.

“Whatever the fuck this is,” I lean in close. “Stop blocking me. We have a serious problem, and you’re focusing too hard in the wrong places. A rogue MC, a mafia prince, oh and a little thing called fucking Storm.”

He holds up a hand, not to ward me off, but to let me know he gets it.

“And let’s not forget your daughter.”

He stares at me like I kicked him in the nuts. Someone fucking needs to.

“This is fucking serious and it’s going down tomorrow. We need all the help we can get. Just be fucking grateful I have more urgent shit to deal with because if I didn’t, this attitude you have going on would be dealt with.”

We have a stare-off, and I wait for him to blow up, but the soft feminine voice from earlier is gone, now it’s more forceful.

“Get your asses in here. You’re embarrassing me.”

“Great, now she’s pissed.” Beast rubs his forehead in frustration.

“You seem to have that effect on women.” I start toward the door but pause and look back at him. “Your kid knows how to wield a frying pan, be careful when you go seeher.”

Leaving him with that little nugget of information, I open the door and walk into the room, where a very pissed off looking Ellie is glaring at us.

Chapter Fifteen

Rebel

The Drake Hotel is on the waterfront. I’ve never been inside before. We’re not the type of men who can just roll up at a place like this and not have every eye in the vicinity on us.

Which is why Razer and I are standing in a back corridor with a nervous-looking guy who works here and is a close acquaintance of Ellie’s.

She’s been coming here for years, and this guy has helped her with what she does when she is here. There is no need to question what they are, we all know what Ellie does to get information out of men.

This guy does not want his employers to know his relationship with her but one call from Ellie got us in here with ease. No questions, and three hotel uniforms waiting for us.

Neither I nor Razer can do this, Wallen will recognize us. We have men he has never been around before he went to prison, so they’re the ones in the storage room getting changed.

I’m pissed off that one of them is Cipher. The poor bastard has been on the receiving end of my very annoyed look every time we make eye contact.

It’s taking everything in me not to slice his lips off his face for ever having had them near Kinsley.

For his part, he's been eyeing me warily since we got here, even Razer has noticed.

“Here’s the key card for the room you requested. I had to tell the current occupants there was a fault with the electrics, so try to keep it down.”

Razer takes it and glares enough that the dickhead cringes. He’s forgotten who he is talking to.

“This is the duplicate key to the other room.” He hands that over with a little more reluctance. Then he grows a set of balls, which I guess I have to give him credit for. “If you get caught, this has nothing to do with me.”
