“Oh my; she’s so perky. Please tell me she belongs to Wrath,” I say, putting my hands in a praying motion.

He smirks at me.

“Okay, we will do this your way Lui,” I whisper.

“They can’t know our real names since mine is a dead giveaway, and you never know if any beings are lurking around,” he says.

“Like demons?” I ask, sitting up straighter and looking around at everyone.

“Demons, vampires, witches, shifters; you know, that sort of thing,” he says with a shrug.

“Shut up; you didn’t just tell me that vampires exist,” I hiss at him.

“They really aren’t as fascinating as movies and tv make them out to be,” he says with an eyeroll.

“Whatever you say Lui,” I chuckle.

Lucille brings us our food and chats with us for a couple minutes. I watch her interact with other customers and find it hilarious that the grumpy Wrath will have this cheery person as a bride. I think Lucifer and Lilith did that on purpose. Theypicked women who are opposites of what each brother was. I can’t wait to see the rest of them.

We are going to try and see two of them a day. Other times of the day, he’s taking me around the world sharing ancient stories that have been long forgotten by mankind.

I already see the world through new eyes.

It’s a good thing he can make portals because we can literally go anywhere in seconds.

During the evening, we head to see another bride. We are walking up to a country bar. You can hear the music from outside and, immediately, my interest is peaked.

“Which one is she?” I ask as we walk in, grab a table, and order some drinks.

He points to someone climbing up for karaoke.

“That’s Lettie. The one about to sing,” he states.

I look at the woman who has bright red hair and is pretty much the most gorgeous woman here.

“She’s stunning,” I tell him.

“She is. All my daughters are beautiful,” he says.

Once the song starts, we sit back and listen. She has an amazing voice and, when everyone cheers loudly, she gets this blush on her cheeks that’s just adorable. It’s like she doesn’t believe how amazing she is.

I can’t wait to meet the rest of them. I can tell by looking at them that these two have stories behind their eyes, but I won’t risk shaking their hands until they know the family secret. It wouldn’t be fair at this point.

For now, I will just sit back and enjoy this weekend. I was feeling down about not being able to have a girls’ night, but getting tosee all of the brides before the sins do makes me happy. I have something to look forward to now. Even if we don’t get along right away, we have an eternity to hash out any differences between us.

I also wanted to give Silas time to spend with his brothers without feeling guilty with the thought of me being stuck in the home pouting. I want him to have fun and enjoy his time.

We are only a couple weeks away from the ceremony.

I can’t wait.

Chapter Fifteen

Silas

My brothers’ big idea for my bachelor party was to hunt down Piasa.

I looked at them like they are crazy. Piasa are mythical birds that have two horns, red eyes, a scaly body with a long tail, a tiger-like beard, and a humanlike face. Pretty much not a being that you would expect to be real.
