I lowered the gun, sucking on the hard candy. “Fucking worthless.” The door behind me creaked as Haze stepped into the room. “Hermano.”

He stopped in front of the body, his hands in the pockets of his jeans. “Damn.” He whistled, admiring my work. “Another rat?”

I nodded. “They found him working out of the Green Goddess.” I picked up an old rag and wiped my hands.

“How long did you spend with him?”

“I started around nine this morning.” I looked up at a clock we kept at the other end of my torture chamber. “Roughly five hours or so?”

Haze grinned. “Not bad. Did he give up anything good?” I shook my head. “Damn.”

I moved the hard candy around in my mouth then crossed my arms. “What do you want, baby bro?” He stood tall, visibly irritated by what I’d called him. It made me grin.

“I got word that Kief’s been sneaking people out this way, blending them with normal civilians while keeping tabs on all of us.”

“So?”

His brows furrowed as he pulled a vape out and took a long hit, holding it in for a moment before blowing the smoke into my face. “So…” Haze walked toward me. “That means, until further notice, we’re on lockdown.” He jabbed his finger against my chest and grinned. “Which means no more sneaky little midnight adventures for you, big brother.” He winked as if knowing what I’ve been doing.

Fucker.

I rolled my eyes. “Kief knows better than to have anyone tail me. He knows I’ll kill whatever fucker was dumb enough to try. Just like the guy we caught following Indigo last year.”

Haze’s expression darkened almost immediately at the sound of his twin’s name. “Kief should know Indi is off limits.” He took a second hit, his inherited anger beginning to peek through. “No one fucking touches her. Not even fucking Kief.” His words genuinely terrified me. And I feared for the man stupid enough to cross such a line.

Let’s hope that day never comes.

“I’m not going on lockdown, Haze.”

Especially not now.

My brother studied my face closely before speaking. “Then let’s hope you’re prepared to deal with whatever bullshit he might have planned for you.”

I intend to.

I leaned against my cruiser, parked out the back of The Red Eye. After everything Haze said, I felt anxious and needed to be close to her, enough to know she was safe while I kept an eye on her.

God damn it, Haze…now you got me feeling fucking paranoid.

I pulled out my phone, smoking yet another cigarette as I scrolled through my photos. Not only had I saved a ton from her social media, but I’d also screenshotted a couple from her cam sessions. Though my favorite photos were the ones we took together over the last couple days. Ones capturing the ways I’ve fucked her…over the edge of her rose-colored couch, on top of her coffee table, against the hall wall, and a few of us tangled in her bed together.

She’s so fucking perfect.

I took a long drag, swiping left and onto a short clip we filmed during the night. The still image showing her on her knees made me tingle, her cheeks heavily flushed as she looked up at me with watery eyes, her mouth extended wide and salivating all over my dick. My thumb hovered over the phone, then I pressed play. The sounds of her choking and gagging immediately surrounded me and I was instantly hard.

I would’ve kept watching, but a group of women stumbled out the back of the club, laughing loudly and clearly drunk.

Fuck…not now.

I turned my screen off and shoved my phone into my pocket, pretending I wasn’t burdened with a god damn boner. The women all eyed me weirdly as I awkwardly waved, quickly turning away from them and facing the bike, trying to make my dick go down.

Thank god for this fucking helmet.

I slammed the visor down and dropped my head as I leaned against the motorcycle. The back door to the club opened once more, only this time it was the owner and one of the club bouncers, stepping out for what looked like a smoke break. I looked back towards The Red Eye, feeling a bit anxious.

Why hasn’t she come out yet? She’s normally done by now.

“Hey.” I snapped my visor up as I walked toward them, picking up my pace. “Where is she?”
