I stepped out first, closing the door behind me, and then I went over to her side. I assisted her with getting out and closed the door after her. At the same time, the man walked over, and once he was close enough, I extended my hand for him to shake.

“How you doing? I’m Gemini,” I said.

He was trying to keep his eyes on me, but they kept diverting over to Amina. Nigga was damn near about to break his neck trying to get a good look at her. Amina was too busy in her own little world, stretching her arms, while looking ahead of her, where his home was, admiring it, along with the cars that were parked in the driveway.

“What’s up, man? I’m Pete,” he said, shaking my hand firmly, finally taking his eyes off Amina long enough, so that he could look at me.

“Aight, Pete. I got your car in the back. Give me a second to get it down,” I let him know, and he nodded his head.

He nodded, and just like he’s been doing, his eyes shot back over to Amina.

“This your partner, or your girl?” this nigga had the nerve to ask me.

When he asked that, that’s when Amina tapped out of being in her own world, and she looked towards me.

“What that gotta do with anything man? The only thing that you should be questioning me about right now is this car that I have for you in the truck. Don’t worry about who I got riding in the truck with me,” I told him, and he nodded his head.

Crazy thing is that this man was standing there with a fuckin wedding band on his finger. He was married yet had the nerve to question me about mine.

“You right. Respect. Respect,” he said, throwing his hands up, as if he didn’t want any smoke with me.

I walked over to the back of the truck, doing what I had to do to get the truck down. Just that fast, I let this nigga annoy the shit out of me, so I moved fast, hopping on the back of the truck, doing what I needed to do to lower the vehicle. It took less than five minutes to get the car on the ground. It was a Bentley Flying Spur that I was delivering. I’ve delivered thousands of cars, but I’ve never delivered this one. It was nice as hell. The kind of luxury vehicle that I would get my wife for a push gift.

I wasn’t the type of man to say that another man had money based on the kind of car that he drives, but delivering a car to someone, where I knew this vehicle started out at $230,000, I could make the claim that money wasn’t an issue for him. I couldtell by the other whips that he had parked in the driveway, along with the nice house that I was standing in front of.

“Damn. This shit nice as hell. I should fuck around and keep it for myself. I got it for wifey. Her birthday is tomorrow. She’s on a girls trip right now, but she’ll be back in a couple of days. This her dream car. I’m going to surprise her with it when she gets back,” he said.

I shook my head at that shit. If he wasn’t just standing here, staring my girl up and down, and then inquiring on whether we were together or not, I would have thought that his actions were dope.

“How you going to question me about my girl, and you got a wife?” I asked this nigga like I knew him on a personal level.

He laughed at my question while throwing his hands up in the air. By this point, it was just me, and him standing out here. Amina had gotten back on the truck.

“Because I’m a man at the end of the day. A man with eyes. My wife don’t work. My wife don’t pay bills. I fund her entire life. She knows what comes with being married to a man like me. I love her, but I still do my thing, and fuck around. You looking at me like the shit that I’m saying to you is foreign. I got three brothers. Two of them are truck drivers just like you. Them niggas run through so much outside pussy in a month, and both of them are married. You mean to tell me that you always faithful on the road? Your girl in the truck, man. She ain’t going to hear your real answer,” he went on to say.

I looked at this nigga like he was pathetic. He looked old enough to be my pops, yet he was standing his goofy ass there bragging about him still cheating on his wife. That shit was corny, and lame as fuck.

“Nah man. I can’t relate to that. If I gotta move like that, then I should stay single. What the fuck is the point in being in a marriage if you still going to cheat?” I asked him.

“I guess we just got different views, brotha. I don’t love my wife any less than you love your girl because I step out of my marriage,” he went on to tell me.

It was so much that I wanted to say in response to that. I could have kept going. I could have stood here, and made myself out to be the better man, but I didn’t. I let him have it.

I dropped the conversation, and went on with my tablet, so that we could start the inspection. It took about thirty minutes total. The car was in perfect condition. We both put our eyes on it, examining it, so I was able to close it off once I got his signature. I wished him the best with the vehicle, and I hopped on the truck.

“Stay yo’ ass inside next time. I almost had to put that nigga on his head,” was the first thing that I said to Amina once I sat down. She was sitting in the passenger seat, with a big of chips in her hands.

“I know. The second I saw him looking, I was saying to myself that I should have stayed in the truck. What happened once I left?” she wanted to know, as I was using the screen on the dashboard, so that I could close it out on the backend as well.

“When I brought the car out for him, he inspected it, and he started talking about how his wife was going to love the car. That’s when I asked him why he checking for you if he got a wife. He told me that even though he’s married, he still does his thing on the side. Weird, goofy ass nigga,” I said, finished with messing around on the screen, so I leaned back in the chair.

I turned my head to look at Amina. She had her eyes on me.

“Wow. Well yeah, don’t get any ideas from him. I already told you what I would do to you if you broke my heart,” she said, and like she was talking bullshit to me, I waved her off.

I reached for the bag of chips that she had in her hand, taking them from her, so that I could have some. She allowed me to do it, and once I had enough, I handed it back to her.

After drinking a little water, and sitting here for a few more minutes, I eventually drove off.
