Sawyer eyed him thoughtfully for a few moments, then nodded.“Okay.When do you want to do this?”
Nash picked up his beer and drank.“As soon as is reasonable.”
“And the other two players?”
“I was hoping you’d be able to handle that.”
Sawyer was tapping the table again.“I could do that. Both men?”
Nash started to agree, then paused.“Actually, a man and woman would be ideal.”
Sawyer’s quirked one eyebrow in question, and Nash shook his head.“I’m not planning to engage with anyone but Bailey.”
“Okay, then.Tell me how you want this to go.”
“She’s had this fantasy for a while,” he began, and laid it out.
Their food arrived halfway through his explanation, delivered by Gwen—the waitress might need therapy—but otherwise they remained undisturbed.Sawyer dug into his meal while Nash talked, interrupting every so often to ask questions, but for the most part he just listened. And when Nash had finished, he nodded.“I can work with all that. The others will have to make that determination for themselves, you understand.”
“Of course.”
“I’ll reach out to the people I have in mind today. You okay if I give them your contact info?”
Since Nash had just taken a huge bite of his sandwich, he nodded.
“Where do you see this happening?”
Nash swallowed.“I haven’t figured that out yet.I thought a hotel room—”
“Hotels don’t like sex workers in their establishments,” Sawyer interrupted with a shake of his head.“And three of us will definitely throw up a red flag.”
“I didn’t think about that,” Nash admitted.
“There are ways around it, but a private home would be less complicated. One of the pals I’m thinking of has an in-call space, but I wouldn’t recommend that, either.”
Nash paused with a fry halfway to his mouth.“Why?
“I don’t know your girl,” Sawyer said, “but this isn’t my first group project. She’s going to be tired afterward, but that’s the least of it, really.
“It’ll be overwhelming,” Sawyer continued.“And with as long as she’s had this fantasy?Emotional, too.Her own home, her own space, is where she’s going to feel most comfortable.”Sawyer paused, and it seemed to Nash that he was having an internal debate. Then he shrugged.“If she’d rather keep all this away from her real life, preserve the fantasy element, we can use the in-call.But I’d take the after into consideration before deciding.”
Nash thought for a minute. He’d figured on a heavy amount of aftercare, but hadn’t considered the location as a factor in it.“I’ll talk to Bailey about it, and go from there,” he finally said.“It’s what she wants that matters.”
“Fair enough.”Sawyer laid his napkin on his empty plate and rose.“I’ll be in touch.”
Nash held out a hand.“Thanks, Sawyer.”
“You’re welcome.”Sawyer shook his hand, then, with a last nod, walked out.
Leaving Nash with his thoughts and the check.
Chapter Nine
Bailey keyed her code into the front door lock and held her breath. Her HVAC guy hadn’t given her any guarantees, but she’d held out hope throughout the long day that he’d made it by, fixed the problem, and she would be greeted with a blast of cool air when she walked into the house.
Fingers crossed, and tossing out a prayer to whichever god worked best, she pushed open the door. And was greeted by muggy heat and Nash, sprawled out on the bare hardwood floor, watching TV in his boxers and nothing else.
He glanced up, hair damp from either sweat or a recent shower, a beer bottle wet with condensation in one hand.
