“The feeling’s mutual.” He sealed his words with a soft kiss. I didn’t want him to stop, but when I tried to deepen it, he pulled away like he did the last time.

“Let me feed you food first.” He kissed me again.

“Then, I’ll feed you something else.” This time I took charge, breaking the distance between us. I sucked his bottom lip in my mouth, hearing him groan in the back of his throat. I’d never been so damn horny.

“I’m ready,” I breathed out, tryna regain my composure. I didn’t care about the food but, the quicker we ate, the quicker I could get what I really wanted.

He moved to his side of the car, adjusting himself in his pants. I wanted to climb over the console, but I stayed in my seat, watching him back outta the driveway. I’m not sure how I’d survive the rest of the night without jumping his bones, but I’ll try.

Extending my arms, I put my hand on his leg as he drove. At this point, I’d take any skin contact with him I could get. He picked my hand up and brought it to his mouth for a kiss.

When he put it back down, I zoomed in on his bruised knuckles. “What happened to your hand?”

Doing a double take, he glanced at me with confusion. “Oh, that ain’t nothing. I beat T. K’s ass.”

I didn’t think it was possible but hearing that made me want him more.

LOVE

“Did he say what happened?”

I sighed.

“Yeah, he told me what I needed to know. T. K. set up my brother.” Making a right turn, I cast a glance in her direction. “But knowing ain’t make shit better for me. I still can’t get my brother out.”

“No, it can’t, but I bet I know what did feel good,” she joked, and I already knew where she was going with this.

“What’s that?” I played along, kissing her knuckles.

“Beating the shit out of T.K.”

Chuckling, I licked my lips. The look on his face when I knocked him to the floor did have me feeling satisfied. He had that coming a long time ago, ever since he sent my Baby to prison.

“Yeah. That shit did make me happy,” I admitted, seeing her smile at my admission.

“You so crazy,” she told me, shaking her head.

“I’m crazy about you, Baby,” I corrected her, staring into her eyes with admiration. Her smile disappeared, replaced with a look so intense, it made my heart skip a beat.

I meant every word, and when we stopped at a red light, I couldn’t wait to kiss her. The rest of the way we were quiet, both in our own heads, anticipating what the night would bring. She didn’t speak up again until we were in the parking lot.

“Is this…” she questioned with a confused look.

“Uh huh, we need a do-over. This time we won’t be interrupted.” I turned the car off and hopped out, going around to her side. Bringing her back to the place I got arrested in might’ve been a bad idea, but I wanted to do it right this time.

“This place didn’t give me good memories, Love,” she stumbled over her words when I opened her door, taking her hand to help her out the car.

“I know, so we finna make some new ones.” I led her to the door. “You just gotta trust me.”

“Okay,” she said, tightening her hold.

Walking up to the door, I knocked on it twice. Baby looked at me crazy, wondering what I was doing, but after a few minutes, it swung open with a familiar face staring back at me.

“Here’s my favorite person. Come on in.” I sucked my teeth. His ass be flipping sides real quick. He moved out of the way to let us through.

“GD, you say the same thing to Valentine,” I spoke facts, using my thumb to caress her hand as we walked.
