“Only a little.”

“Me too,” Pablo mumbles, walking over to pull some wipes and help clean me up. He refused to stay home, and there’s just a drop or two of blood on his face. “This sucks.”

“We’ll go home soon and get all the knots we can handle,” I promise, kissing his cheek. “Okay?”

“How are you not more miserable?”

“A really high tolerance for pain. I don’t suggest it,” I tell Pablo. “I’m going to need a shower.”

The words are followed by an inappropriate giggle, and people hide their smiles as I shake off my omega and alpha. The blood isn’t bothering me as it dries on my skin for the moment, and Nico was able to clean a lot of it off.

“They’re all ready for you,” Dario says, coming closer with a bag held open. “Dealer’s choice, Rosa.”

Looking around him, I see Maura’s son and snarl at him.

“Please! You don’t even remember my goddamned name. Just kill me and be done with it!” he cries out.

“He used to torture me at night,” I grumble, searching through the bag. Finding a bat, I grin.

“Rosa. No. No!”

“Ugh, you don’t even know what I’m going to do. Stop fucking with my fun,” I giggle, pulling out the weapon. “I do know your name. I just didn’t care enough to remember it at the time. This is because you whined about not getting a chance to rape me.”

Growls fill the room, and I smile through the cramping in my lower stomach as I walk over to Rico, pull my arms back, andfollow through on my swing at his head. The sound is a dull thud and I shrug.

“Your parents have always said you were dumber than a box of rocks. Guess they were right. May they burn in Hell.”

My arms rise and fall over and over as he curls into a fetal position to ward off the worst of the blows. His ankles and wrists are zip tied, which means there’s not much he can do to hide from me.

Getting tired, I toss aside the bat and reach into the bag Ciro is now holding readily available.

“Take a sip,” Nico orders, holding out a bottle of water. It’s opened and I hesitate for a second before glancing up at him.

If he wanted to drug me, he could have done it half a dozen times before this.

Resolutely, I take the offered water and take a deep sip from it before I hand it back. I act as if it’s not a big deal, but this definitely is.

There’s a shotgun toward the bottom of the bag, and I grin as I pull it out. I swear, this kill bag has major Mary Poppins vibes. It holds so much in it.

Aiming for Rico’s ass, I pull the trigger, grinning when he screams. I continue to play target practice with his body until I get bored and place a bullet between his eyes. My heels click as I move on, and Tony spits at me from his position on his knees.

“Oh, puppy. Did you miss me?” I ask, shooting out his knee. “You’re only the biggest, meanest asshole in the room until you’re not.”

“Fuck you, Rosa. Look at this mess. This is your family!”

“And what have they ever done for me?” I ask conversationally. I really don’t want to spend much energy on him, so I exchange the shotgun for a flame thrower. I wink in Easton’s direction, where he’s holding my father in place at the end of the line. “Consider this what you have to expect from yourfinal resting place. I heard if you burn a body, you chain them to this world forever to roam. Don’t haunt me, asshole. I’m going to be deliriously happy. You’ll hate it.”

Tony opens his mouth, but instead of waiting to hear what he has to say, I bathe him in fire completely. His screams aren’t as long as I’d expect, and I move on before he’s dead.

“Franco,” I coo. “How are you? Good to see ya.”

“I haven’t done fuck all to you, bitch!” he snarls. “I’m just the hired help.”

“Are you?” I ask, rooting around the bag again.

“What are you looking for?” Ciro asks. “Your methods of killing are fascinating.”

“I’m twitchy and achy,” I admit, cutting a glance over to Pablo. He’s pale but gives me a thumbs up when he catches me looking at him.
