“I won’t, Tesoro,” I manage to croak out as he seemingly draws the poison from my weakened soul.

“Good. And if you’re struggling, you come to me. You go to Javi. Any of the therapists. We have support systems in place now. As for you and Hollis… Well, you may not want it, but it’s my decision who I have a relationship with, and if he’s not willing to meet you halfway, then I will get involved. Because living without you? That’s not an option for me. It never truly was. I was simply going through the motions of day-to-day life.

“When I walked away? I cut out a major part of myself and now that I have it back, I refuse to give up again. So, be strong. And if you can’t, I will be strong enough for the both of us, and you can rest on me, Papa Bear.

“Because there’s no greater honor to me than to wear your ring on my finger. To show everyone that we belong to each other. Because despite whatever bullshit has happened, that has never changed for me. I am yours. And you? You willalwaysbe mine.”

“Yes, Caro. I will.”

The words are quiet, but the vow within them thrums through my veins. The truth will always be that I belong to Emilio. I just doubt whether he belongs to me… Even if he says the words. But if I’ve learned one thing, it’s to never underestimate him.

He exhales, his body losing its battle mode as he climbs onto my lap. He tilts his head, offering me the sweetest gift of all. Without waiting, I claim his lips as mine, letting the need roar through me. To stamp him as mine, to hold him close forever. It doesn’t matter where he goes, or who he’s with, he’s in my heart, and that will never change. I carry him with me wherever I go,and he may not know it…but he carries all that is good about me with him.

When I finally let him go, we’re both gasping for air, and he throws his arms around me. I hold him close, tenderly, letting him feel with my body the words that I struggle to say. The love I have for him, the devotion that runs through me, and the fierce need to give him whatever he wants in this life.

It’s with that in mind, I give a low chuckle. “I do hope your Daddy is looking forward to learning about the nursery. Because you just earned yourself time with your Papa Bear in there. Don’t think I didn’t see you break position without calling a color or ending the scene.”

The sweetest giggles erupt from his lithe frame, and I close my eyes to soak it in. This right here. This is what I need. What I crave. My love, my Boy. I trust him and the team he’s assembled. Now, it’s just a waiting game… I can only hope Hollis will work with me, because the last thing I want is to see Emilio lose him. Not when I know he’s so good for my Boy. Not when I know those two belong to each other the same way we do.

Leaning back in my chair, I squeeze my eyes closed, trying to push away the headache beating a rhythm against my temple. I know it’s from working too many hours staring at a computer screen, but as one of the Voices, I’ve been doing my job and making sure everything is in order with our suppliers. Thankfully, Keegan is working with Tennant on the weapons—since that was Marcus’s area before, and Keegan knows how to handle their contacts. Ten can help get the Brazilians back on our side.

Being a Voice for the Council fulfills something in me that I’m not sure anything else would have, had I stayed on the path I was on when I met the Amatos. That doesn’t mean everything that comes with making sure the Family runs smoothly isn’t fucking exhausting. At least, I’m not one of the Bosses.

Instincts born from a lifetime of not having one sense, and the training Tennant put me through, has me opening my eyes. My focus drifts down to the Boy standing feet from me, head slightly bowed, posture perfect as he waits for my attention.

“Good Boy,” I tell him. “Come here.”

Antonio raises his head and meets my gaze. There's so much love shining in those dark molasses eyes of his that it takes my breath away.

“Are you okay, Sir?” he says, his lips easy to read.

All three of my Boys have been practicing both their enunciation and their ASL with the trips. That they care so much to learn how to more effectively communicate with me warms parts of me that my birth family left cold.

“Just tired, Bello. It’s been a long day.”

“Can I…do anything for you?”

“Kneel for me, Bello.”

He goes to his knees so effortlessly, so beautifully, it makes the parts of me that might be love light up.

Moving back from the desk, I pat my lap and Antonio scoots himself over to lay his head against my leg, adjusting himself so he’s comfortable and can glance up at me.

Running my hand through his hair, I sigh. “Rest with me, Bello. I have a few other things to take care of.”

I pull my chair closer to my desk, forcing Antonio to practically crawl underneath it. He holds onto my leg, his body weight a heavy, welcome presence.

After a few moments of silence, he taps me, forcing me to look down at him. “Need something, Bello?”

Without using words, he lifts a hand and places it over my groin, his big brown eyes blinking up at me with want—not for sex, but the desire to please me. To give his Dom pleasure with the expectation of nothing in return, just the comfort of knowing he can fulfil my needs.

Reaching down, I smooth my fingers through his coal black hair. “Such a good Bel Fiore. You can take me out, but don’t suck me, just hold me in your mouth. Daddy needs to finish his work without any distractions.”

The joy on his face is unparalleled to anything else, and pleasure curls through my core at the thought of fulfilling his needs.

Antonio wastes no time attacking my belt and fly, pulling my pants down enough that he can get to my soft cock.

The feel of his warm, soft mouth encapsulating my cock has me groaning. My dick twitches and hardens a little at the feel of him wrapped around me, but I ignore it, focusing instead on the budget reports from Javi. Despite the man’s insistence that everyone get a fucking kitten, and even with the unauthorized pay raises, they’re not too far over their budget.
