McCrae planted his hands on her hips and pulled her closer. “You don’t have to wear white. You can wear whatever you want. I just want to do a little two-steppin’ and slow dancing and then… when we’re alone… I want to strip you out of that damn dress and love you until you can’t walk for days.”
She grimaced at that. “I don’t know how I feel about that. Who’s going to make meals and get Ciela to pre-school?”
McCrae gave her a quick, hard kiss. “I’ll make food. I’ll feed you in bed. It might even be food,” he winked. “I just want to give you everything, ‘Elle. All the bells and whistles.”
She stepped into him, wrapping her arms around his middle and pressing her cheek against his chest. “You give me… us,” she clarified, “so much. I want you to have all the bells and whistles, too. I want you to dance with me, and I know Ciela would have a great time as a flower girl.”
Noelle nodded, excited about the idea.
“All right,” she rubbed her palm over his belly, feeling the hard planes of his muscles, “let’s do this. We’ll go the whole nine yards.”
He hugged her tight. “I’m going to treat you so damn good.”
She hugged him back. “You already do.”
Noelle couldn’t believe how things had changed for her since the day she’d met him at the museum.
They’d gone through hell and back, but there was one thing she could trust going forward. They’d always be protected by Duval.
