“Let me get the silver diamond one, the gold one without the diamonds, and the gold studs. My mama gone love those studs. You don’t have the love necklace with the diamonds?” I asked, admiring the collection.
“No, those sold out for the next few months. I can put an order in for you, though.” He said, grabbing the jewelry I requested.
“That’s perfect. Thank you, you can just charge everything to the card on file.”
“Okay. I’m gonna box all this up for you. It’ll all be ready in about five minutes.”
I nodded, taking a seat at one of the chairs against the wall. I pulled my phone out to scroll through social media.
“Saint?” I heard a familiar voice call. I looked up towards the voice, smacking my lips when I realized it was Symone. Dru had spoken her ass up.
“Wassup Symone.” I responded, going back to my phone.
“Why you be acting like you don’t know me.” She said, folding her arms.
“Fuck are you even talking about?”
“I’ve seen you twice in these past two weeks, and every time I’m around you act like you didn’t just fuck me back in August. I find it really funny that you and Mariah broke up, then all of a sudden, you’re so quick to jump to Blessing like I wasn’t right here.”
“Symone, get the fuck out of my face. So, what we fucked in August. Me and Mariah were on a break. You practically begged me to fuck you. I gave you exactly what you wanted. You knew what this shit was. So what’s the problem? And stay the fuck away from Blessing. Stop trying to force yourself into their friend group. Find something safe to do.” I said, clenching my jaw. Before she could respond, Black called my name, letting me know my jewelry was ready. I grabbed my bag and left the store, not bothering to say shit else to Symone. She needed to stay the hell away from what I had going on and mind her business. I knew I needed to say something to Blessing before she heard it from someone else.
“I hopethey don’t have a long wait time. I’m literally starving. My stomach is touching my back.” Taryn groaned as we walked intoBetty’s Brunch Spot. We’d all agreed to meet up for brunch, but Symone couldn’t make it. Saint didn’t have physical therapy because he was shooting withBodyAdetoday.
I laughed, walking up to the host stand to give her our name. “Well, lucky for you, I already requested a table on the ride over.” I turned towards the hostess, giving her my name. She escorted us to our booth and placed three menus on the table before letting us know our server would be with us shortly.
“I already know what I’m getting, I looked up the menu as soon as we decided on where we’d be eating,” Chanel said, dancing in her seat to the live DJ. He was currently playing a mix of throwback songs.
“Of course you did. Too bad Symone was busy. I wish she could’ve come.” I poked my bottom lip out, pouting.
“Uh, naw, she’s good wherever she’s at,” Chanel said, rolling her eyes.
“Oop. Why you say that?” Taryn asked, her eyebrows raised in confusion.
“Her vibe was weird. When Blessing said bye to everyone, she didn’t respond, and she rolled her eyes. I don’t know what the hell her problem was.”
“I didn’t see the eye roll. Maybe she was just tired.” I shrugged.
“Her mood did shift randomly. She was quiet the whole ride back to her place when Rome and I dropped her off.” Taryn added.
“Good afternoon, ladies. My name is Blossom, and I’ll be your server for the evening. Today, we have $10 bottomless mimosas in 4 different flavors. We have mango passionfruit, pineapple strawberry, watermelon, and peach lemonade. Are any of you interested in them?” The server asked, pulling her notepad and pen from her apron. We each took turns ordering the flavor of our choice and a few appetizers. “Perfect, I’ll be back with those drinks and appetizers.” She smiled, then walked off to put the order in.
“Ooo I cannot wait to taste that mango passionfruit mimosa. I know it’s going to be so good. I should’ve added a shot of tequila.” I said as I looked over the menu.
“Right. I already know I’m getting one in each flavor. Thank God we got a driver.” Taryn responded, slapping hands with Chanel.
“Oh, Blessing, look,GossipInTheCovereposted those pictures you posted the other day. The comments are going crazy. I told you, you looked good as hell. That’s why Moo couldn’t keep his eyes off you all damn night.” Chanel teased and passed her phone to me. I looked over the comment section, laughing at the men and women thirsting over me.
“You might as well spill the beans. I know you finally gave it up. He turned your ass every way but loose, didn’t he?” Taryn asked. Blossom returned with our drinks and appetizers, then took our entrée orders before leaving again to put them in.
I took a sip of my mimosa and grinned, “And did! It was so good, too. That man put me through the damn mattress. Fucked up knee and all. I’ve never been fucked like that before.”
“Oh, I know that’s right, sista. That football player dick hits different as fuck.” Taryn said, grabbing one of the mini cinnamon roll appetizers.
“Sooo, I need to get a football player? Got it.” Chanel said, nodding.
“Girl the fuck bye. Dru ain’t going for that. You can’t even stay out of that man’s skin.” I teased.
“Dru ain’t my man. I’m single as hell and can do whatever the fuck I want to.” She rolled her eyes, finishing the rest of her mimosa.
