Later. After this we had the pack confirmation, a big party, and a dinner where there would be lots of fun dances. I was doing one with my hockey friends and Fiona had planned what she called theAssassin Dancewith her friends. I was really excited to see that.
Dusty came back over with Ispín and the rings.
I took Fiona’s hands. “You are my queen, my goddess. From the moment I saw you, I knew you were something special. Over and over, you captured my heart and I knew that while you could do a million times better than me, you were the one I wanted to be with. I promise to worship you, treasure you, and spend every moment of every day showing you that I am worthy of the love of a goddess, though I am but a mere mortal myself,” I confessed.
“Bravo,” Kace yelled from the audience as people chuckled.
Taking the ring, I slid it on her finger. “I promise to love you forever and always.”
“I’m glad I decided to keep you.” Fiona chuckled. “You keep life joyous and exciting and I love you with all my heart. I promise to love you forever, in good times and bad, as we make this new life together.”
“Kiss your amazing queen,” Jorge said.
We kissed, and he announced us to everyone.
My heart thundered in my chest. This was my life, and it couldn’t be better.
Dusty
“But wait, there’s still more,” Jorge told everyone as all five of us lined up.
“Are you finally going to marry me, Dusty, my dearest not-husband?” Carlos fluttered his eyelashes at me.
“Even better, we're going to be a pack. We appreciate every single one of you coming all the way out to Ireland to be here with us today. As most of you know, Pack Lovely got off to a little bit of an unconventional start. Yes, the Internet still calls usPack Himbo,but what you see here is the result of a lot of love and hard work. We are going to have the pack confirmation before we adjourn for the reception and dinner,” I added.
Finn came up and beamed at Fiona.
“I’m honored to be here today to confirm Pack Lovely. I do have to admit that when my daughter told me that she was starting a pack with a hockey player, a chemistry student, a rockstar, and Saoirse, it sounded to me a bit like one of thosewalked into a barjokes. I was skeptical, but wanted to support her decision. All five of them have worked incredibly hard and I’m proud of every single one of them,” Finn stated.
I took a step forward. “I confirm that this is my pack and I will love, cherish, care for, and protect every single member of this pack, including you, Ispín.” I gave the dog a kiss on the head.
Saoirse took my hand. “I promise to protect, love, and care for this pack, forever and always.” She squeezed my hand and gave Ispín a pet.
Fiona came and took Saoirse’s hand. “I promise to love and protect this pack, support everyone, and be partners as we build our life together, because I have a pack and you’re all mine now.”
She gave us all one of her adorable looks that made her three mates want to do everything for her.
Hale took her hand. “I promise to support and protect this pack, to love everyone, and to try to remember to take out the trash every day. We’re a pack, and when things are tough, we’re going to just communicate and work through shit together.”
Fiona kissed him. I knew that he meant every word, because he was absolutely determined for things to turn out well.
Carlos took Hale’s hand. “I promise to love, protect, and support this pack, through good decisions and bad, forever and always.”
“I confirm this pack. May I present Pack Lovely,” Finn said.
Everyone stood and clapped, and music played as we walked down the aisle.
The wedding coordinator gathered the five of us and brought us over to a really beautiful area of the garden to get some pictures while everyone else had drinks and snacks.
Carlos turned to me. “We’re a pack.”
“We are.” I grinned.
This was my pack. Life was good. Very good.
No, it was better than good. It waslovely.
