CHAPTER ONE

DECEMBER

Aiden

My brotheralways told me never to fuck rugby players. They’re vain, self-centred, reckless, stubborn party boys with too much ego, not enough sense, and the laughable belief that they’re God’s gift to whatever room they’re in.

And very few of them are good at sex.

But since my rugby-playing brother was a filthy fucking hypocrite who currently had his tongue down his boyfriend slash teammate’s throat, I’d decided to ignore his gem of advice.

Especially because two of his friends had been watching me all night with zero fucking subtlety and drool practically hanging out of their mouths. They might as well have had a giant neon sign flashing over their heads saying, “Want to fuck?” And if I’d had fun smiling at them, shooting them the occasional wink, and locking eyes with them as soon as I got onto the dance floor, just to see what they’d do, then sue me.

It was nearly Christmas and I deserved to enjoy myself.

My brother, Jonny, had invited me to come and stay for the holidays since I had nowhere else to be, and we were kicking offmy visit with a night out to a local queer club for drinks, a drag show, and a dance. A couple of his teammates had partners in the show, and half the team had shown up to support them and let off some steam.

It had surprised me that a bunch of rugby players wanted to party at a queer club, but as soon as I’d seen the pair of them looking at me, I’d known why.

They were totally looking for a third for the night.

And hey, if they were interested, I wasn’t going to say no. They were gorgeous as fuck and I could do with some fun.

We just had to clear a few things up first.

“Hey,” I said, sliding between them and leaning against the bar, looking up at their faces in the dim light. After the show, the club had transformed from kitsch speakeasy into a camp nightclub, with swirling rainbow lighting and a soundtrack of cheesy dance anthems and remixed Christmas classics that simultaneously made me want to dance, sing, and laugh my head off.

I’d never heard anything fromThe Muppet Christmas Carolin a club before. And I didn’t think I would again.

“Hey,” said the shorter of the two guys, a cute-as-fuck little smile on his mouth. He was a little taller than me, possibly just brushing six foot, with broad shoulders and muscular thighs and an arse I wanted to sink my teeth into. His blond hair was faded at the sides and styled upwards on top, like he’d tried to do some kind of triangle mohawk. I thought I’d had something similar at seventeen. He made it work better than I ever had, though.

“I’m Aiden,” I said casually.

“Bailey,” said the blond, his smile widening slightly as he sipped his drink.

“Hunter,” said the mountain of a man on my other side. He had to be at least a foot taller than me—which wasn’t hard considering I was a short king who barely scraped five seven ona good day—with olive skin and dark hair that curled slightly at the ends. There was an appreciative look in his dark eyes as they roamed over me, his long lashes batting slowly.

I didn’t mind. He could look all he wanted. I was hot as fuck.

“You’re Jonny’s brother, right?” Bailey asked, leaning slightly closer, pretending it was so I could hear him over the music.

“Yeah, I am. Why?”

Hunter shrugged. “Just curious.” He moved half a step towards me, not quite caging me between the two of them but close enough. My head barely cleared his shoulders, giving me a fabulous view of his pecs, and my fingers itched to reach out and squeeze them. I couldn’t, not without asking anyway, but the temptation was there.

“Do you have any plans for the night?” Bailey asked.

“Not yet,” I said with a teasing smirk.

“We were thinking about leaving,” Hunter said, his words brushing across my ear. Fuck, he’d sound so sweet when he moaned. “Want to join us?”

“Sure, but there are two things you need to know first.” This was the hardest part. The bit where everything could go wrong in the shittiest way. It had only happened to me once, when I’d been out with my mates Bacon and Greenie, and they’d stepped in before things had gone south. I was lucky in that regard.

Bacon didn’t react well to people being dicks. He never had.

But we were in a queer bar, and if all else failed, I was not above getting Jonny and Devon to kick their teammates’ arses. “I’m trans.”

I looked between them, watching, waiting for their reaction.
