All he knew was that he needed answers.

Who was that man?

Why was Juliet living here?

How had her life changed so drastically in such a short time?

After walking for nearly ten minutes, Vincent suddenly stopped.

Parked neatly in the driveway of one of the villas was the familiar black luxury car.

His eyes immediately narrowed.

It was the same car.

A strange feeling settled heavily in his chest.

Slowly, Vincent lifted his gaze.

The villa before him was breathtaking.

It wasn't merely a house.

It was a mansion.

A modern three-story estate surrounded by perfectly landscaped gardens, decorative fountains, and towering trees. Warm golden light spilled from the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, making the entire property look elegant and welcoming.

Vincent stared at it in silence.

This wasn't a place an ordinary person could afford.

Without thinking any further, he approached the garden wall. Gripping the stone ledge, he effortlessly climbed over and landed soundlessly among rows of carefully tended flowers.

Straightening, he moved deeper into the garden.

Then he froze.

One entire side of the mansion consisted of wall-sized glass windows.

And through them, he could see directly into the living room.

Juliet was sitting comfortably on a large cream-colored sofa, completely unaware that someone was watching her.

She had changed out of her clothes and into a soft pink nightdress that hugged her figure gently before ending several inches above her knees. Her long blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders in loose waves as she sat cross-legged on the sofa, a bowl of ice cream balanced in one hand while her phone rested in the other.

Every now and then, she scooped a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth while scrolling through her phone.

A small smile played on her lips.

The sight made Vincent's gaze linger.

Then his eyes fell on what she was wearing.

A soft pink nightdress.

Short, cute, and familiar.

Vincent's expression shifted almost immediately.
