“Tim!” I screamed, bowing up with the strength of my orgasm. It seemed to last forever, and when I crashed back to Earth, I flopped back on the bed, gasping for breath.

“What the hell?” I ran my hands through my hair. “That was… fucking amazing.”

He gave me a cocky grin. “We should have been doing this friends with benefits thing for a long time,” he murmured.

I barely even heard what he said. Before it had fully registered, I’d already settled on my knees in front of him and was taking him in my mouth.

“Fuck!” he groaned as I took most of him, letting his cock hit the back of my throat while I breathed through my nose. I pulled out every trick I’d ever learned, knowing that Tim had been with enough women that I wanted to stand out. I wanted to be the best he’d ever had. Judging from the way his hips bucked, his hands grasped the sides of my head, and the look in his eyes as he watched me suck his cock, I must’ve been at least close to that.

I sucked him like a champ, getting him close before backing off a bit and playing with his head a few times before taking him deep and fast, bobbing up and down on him until he exploded with a yell down the back of my throat. I drank him down and cleaned him up causing him to curse and moan several more times.

When I was finished, we both flopped down again, staring up at the ceiling and then at each other. He reached out and rubbed his thumb over my bottom lip. “You’re so fucking good at that.” His eyes searched mine. “You’re not what I… expected.”

I propped up on my elbow and grinned. “What did you expect?”

He shrugged, his perfect chest and abs on display. He had gotten several tattoos over the years, and I traced the outlines of them lightly with my fingers. “I guess I thought you’d be shier or something. Like you’d let the guy do most of the work. But you go hard, Nat. I… well, I loved it.”

“Yeah. It was great,” I yawned. “I think I need to close my eyes for a minute, though.”

We ended up waking up twice more for sex again in the night.

By the time morning rolled around, I worried that things might be weird between us. But they weren’t.

“So, I take it you really like that Rafe guy and wanted me to marry him, right?”

“God, that guy is such a fucking tool. I can’t stand him. I don’t even know why he comes to some of my parties. He’s not worthy to lick the bottom of your shoes, Nat. I couldn’t stand by and let him make a move.”

“Well,” I said, crawling into his lap, “you definitely didn’t.”

We spent all of Sunday eating leftover food everyone put away for us before they left the condo the night before. We laughed, we talked, we fucked, and we made love. We were all over each other, and we seemed to be equally insatiable.

By the time the sun was setting in the afternoon, I knew I needed to head back to Atlanta. I had class in the morning, and Tim had work the next day.

We made love one more time, taking it nice and slow and making it last as we stared into each other’s eyes.

“This has been one of the best weekends of my life,” Tim said as he threw on gray sweats to walk me to my car.

“Same for me,” I said, standing on my tiptoes to kiss him. We kissed each other hungrily at my car until things started to heat up too much, and I took a step back, laughing. “Oh my God. What’s wrong with us? You’d think we would have gotten our fill by now.”

He wrapped his strong arms around me and squeezed me tight. “I don’t think it’s possible to get enough of you, Nat.”

I sighed happily and kissed him one more time. “I’ll call you later, okay?”

I thought I saw a slight hesitation flash over his face, but it was gone before I was even sure I saw it. “Yeah. Sure.” He smiled. “Be safe going home.”

I waved as I pulled out of his parking lot. All the way back to my place in Decatur, I thought about Tim, me, and our relationship over the years. I’d never thought we’d work. But it seemed I was wrong.

I wasn’t until I’d showered, stumbled into bed, and lay in the cool covers drifting off to sleep, that I remembered something he’d said about ‘friends with benefits.’ I frowned, worried, but I was so far gone that I dozed off before I’d fully grasped the thought.

CHAPTER EIGHT

Tim, 24

After my epic sex weekend with Natalie, I was a mess. I kept going back and forth, one minute thinking I’d screwed up the best relationship in my life, and the next thinking our next step should be marriage. I was all over the place.

And I couldn’t even talk to anyone about it. The people I’d normally confide in were Natalie, my mom, my dad, or my big sister Sadie. All of them were out. I couldn’t talk to Nat for obvious reasons. My mom and dad would expect a wedding invitation along with the conversation, and Sadie was going through her own shit. I was semi-close to Imani, but again, she was out. She would not understand that part of me wanted to run screaming for the hills. I had loved one woman before in my life. Or at least I thought I had. That was Annika, and she’d obliterated my heart.

If Nat did that? I didn’t think I could survive it.
