“Will someone get me coffee?” Sophie asked.

“They have breakfast at the restaurant.”

“Just coffee.” She kicked the sheets down. “I don’t want to get dressed.”

“I don’t want you to get dressed either,” Daniel said.

“I’ll get coffee.” I tugged the waistband of my boxer briefs back up, ignoring the way my cock was still half-hard even after Daniel had sucked me dry. The hotel was nice, but not overly fancy, so I threw on a pair of joggers, an old college t-shirt, and my sneakers before grabbing the room key and heading for the main lobby.

The Lodge at Cherry Creek was gorgeous and old, the interior of the lobby made up of wide-planked wood floors and exposed beam ceilings. There was a stone fireplace in the middle of the room, a seating area around it made up of overstuffed leather couches that looked like they’d seen their fair share of conversations. There was a small office behind the front desk, a middle-aged man with light hair leaning on the counter, attention focused on his phone.

The restaurant was tucked into the back of the lobby through a wide doorway and the place was already set up for a buffet-style breakfast. I didn’t believe Sophie for one second when she said she didn’t want food, so I made sure to grab her a decent assortment of baked goods and pastries along with some bacon and waffles.

“No, you don’t listen.” The doors to the kitchen were pushed open and a man in tight black jeans, a black t-shirt, and a dirtywhite apron bustled into the room. He’d used his butt to open the door, a tray of danish in his hand, wavy dark hair falling out of a loose knot on the top of his head.

Seconds later, someone followed him out of the kitchen, mouth full of danish.

“I’m allowed to taste the food so you don’t poison the guests,” the second man said, which earned him a middle finger from the first.

“I’m not poisoning anyone, Cameron.”

“You haven’t yet,” the other man, Cameron apparently, said.

The two men squared off, and it didn’t take long for me to realize there was no real animosity between them, just an abrasive kind of playfulness.

“I came over here as a favor for you. I have to get back to the cafe, and then after that, home to my husband.”

“James can wait, Levi.”

“I don’t want him to,” Levi snapped, shoving his hair out of his face before shouldering Cameron back into the kitchen. Their voices carried through the swinging door until Cameron stumbled back into the restaurant area with an undignified huff.

“Being reality TV famous really went to your head,” he shouted into the kitchen before turning around and seeing me there. His expression faltered and he gave me a very apologetic smile. “That was?—”

“Nothing,” I supplied. “I have brothers.”

“He’s not my brother. Well, he’s my brother-in-law, but…he’s also never poisoned anyone. He’s probably the best baker I’ve ever met.”

“If the cookies last night were any indication, I believe it.”

“Did you just check in?” Cameron asked, wiping his hands on the front of his pants.

“Last night, my…” The words caught in my throat just as Daniel walked into the restaurant. He scanned the room, smiling when he found me.

Cameron watched him walk up, clocked the rings on our left hands, and nodded happily.

“Your husband,” he said.

I hadn’t really thought much about what I would call Daniel and Sophie after they were married. I’d barely gotten used to calling them boyfriend and girlfriend before September arrived and everything changed. Daniel was certainly Sophie’s husband, but what was I to either of them?

Daniel made a pleased sound in the back of his throat and he smiled at me, lips still shiny with spit from the blow job he’d given me back in the room.

“And our wife wants her coffee,” he said. “She sent me to help you carry everything.”

Cameron pulled his lips between his teeth, fighting a smile.

“You know where to find us if you need anything at all during your stay.” He grabbed a plastic serving tray from the side of the buffet table and passed it to Daniel. “We’re always happy to help, and again, not a single case of poisoning since my family has owned the place.”

Daniel blanched. “What?”
