“I’ve got you, Kitty Kat.” I rumble, my free hand sliding under my boxer briefs to pull my dick free. “How wet are you? Are you ready?”

“So wet. I want you… I miss you so much.”

“I know, babe. I miss you, too. God, my dick is hard as a rock. My hand is no replacement for your sexy mouth.”

“I want your cock in my pussy.”

I groan. “Put your fingers in there, baby. Slide them in and out. Imagine it’s me, teasing you, making your body shake with pleasure.”

Her eyes are closed, her head tilted back so I can see the pulse thrumming in her neck and her chest rising and falling with her rapid breaths.

“Fuck, you’re gorgeous, Kat.”

“Hunter,” she moans. “God, how am I so close? I wish it were you. Your fingers. Your mouth. Your cock.”

“I know, baby. I know. But I’m watching you. Give it to me, Kitty Kat. You’re so fucking hot. You’re mine.” I’m grunting, muttering words as my own release barrels through my body, but I’m fighting it off until she lets go.

“Come for me, Kat.”

The thrill of watching her face as she loses herself in ecstasy, knowing my words brought her there, is no small thing, but my climax overshadows it as I stifle the shout of her name. Ropes of cum spurt out of me, landing on my stomach. When I finally open my eyes again and find her staring dreamily at me through the phone, I chuckle.

“Think you can sleep now?”

Her lips quirk up in response. “Yeah, I think so. I love you, Hunter.”

“Not as much as I love you, Kitty Kat.”

Chapter three

Kat

I’m slow to wake up most mornings, and this Saturday is no exception. Blinking away sleep, I fumble for my phone to silence the annoying beep of my alarm, then roll back over and hug Hunter’s pillow tighter to my body.

Yep, I’m reduced to snuggling his pillow at night, breathing in the lingering scent of his bodywash to get me through.

Pathetic? Maybe. But after last night, I’m missing him even more. Despite the orgasm he helped me achieve.

There’s just under a week until he’s home, less than two weeks until we finally say our vows. And time is crawling by at a frustratingly slow rate. But today, hopefully, I’ll be distracted by my bachelorette day that Lily and my mom have been planning.

Is it weird to have my mom along for my bachelorette? Not when you consider she’s the most amazing woman I know. And I’m not exactly the type to want strippers or anything else I wouldn’t want her knowing about. Nothing wrong with that kind of party, it’s just notmyidea of fun.

As if on cue, there’s a knock on my front door. Dragging myself out of bed, I head to the front door and unlock it, letting Lily open it herself as I turn and head for the kitchen. Coffee is needed immediately.

“Hey girly. You look lively today.” Good-natured sarcasm drips from her words.

“And you sound way too freaking chipper for this early on a Saturday,” I grumble, grabbing two mugs from a cupboard before turning to the coffee maker. “If you’re about to say anything about my brother being the one to put a smile on your face, I’ll warn you, I’m not in the mood.”

Lily chuckles, but wisely doesn’t say anything. Good thing, too, because as soon as I get the first whiff of the coffee I’m about to scoop into the machine, my stomach revolts and I back away quickly.

“Can coffee go bad?” I ask, shuddering as I walk to the back door, opening it to get some fresh air.

“No?” Lily says, the word coming as more of a question than a statement. I turn back to see her sniffing the bag of ground beans. “This smells fine to me.”

Cautiously, I walk back over, take a shallow sniff, and immediately back up, shaking my head. “Nope. Gross. That smells off.”

Lily tilts her head, anare you crazyexpression clearly written all over her face. “Um, okay, weirdo. Good thing I brought breakfast.”

She closes the container that holds what is normally my favourite brand of coffee and lifts the brown paper bag from The Nutty Muffin bakery instead. “Muffin or scone?”
