There is just one problem with this plan. Bianca was right about my coordination on land.

When I fall on my ass for the second time in the yoga class I decide to try later that week, I remember one simple truth. I have about as much grace and flexibility as a baby elephant.

Somehow, I manage to finish the class, and with a small smile to the sympathetic-looking instructor, I hurry out of the studio, vowing never to return.

Okay, so yoga isn’t for me. This is Manhattan, there’s countless gyms and fitness studios. I could take pole dancing lessons if I wanted or take up kickboxing. Except both of those are also probably way beyond my capabilities.

It’s a bit ridiculous how I can be so clumsy on land, yet so successful in the water. But that’s what happens when your parents toss you in swim lessons at an early age. Swim club was my saving grace and gave me the outlet I needed for both physical exercise, and self confidence.

The walk back to my apartment gives me enough time to accept the inevitable.

I will have to gird my loins against his hotness and go back to the pool.
