I’ll tell him when this thing with Ant is over and I don’t have to worry about hiding anything from him.

“Soooo,”Connor says, sliding down the bench to sit next to me. “Whatcha doing?”
I tip my head back and squirt some water from my sports bottle into my mouth. “What does it look like I’m doing?” I ask when I’m done drinking.
“It looks like you’re up to something.” He pokes my cheek. “I know that face. That’s your cloak-and-dagger face.”
“My what?” I take another drink.
“Your cloak-and-dagger face,” he repeats. “You’re hiding something, and I want to know what it is.”
“I’m not hiding anything.”
Hazen drops down on my other side. “He’s getting laid.”
“You think?” Connor gives me a calculating look.
“Yup.” Hazen swipes my bottle out and squirts some water into his mouth. “And I know who with.”
“Ooooooh.” Connor leans past me toward Hazen. “Hit me with the good stuff, bro.”
“West.” Hazen gives me a look that dares me to refute it. “I mean, it was pretty obvious, especially after he asked us to make sure people stopped talking smack about his boy’s junk.”
I grab my bottle back and take another drink.
“You raise a good point,” Connor says and flicks his gaze back to me. “So, are we being all cloak-and-dagger because you don’t want people to know, or because he doesn’t?”
“Him.” I put my bottle down and pull a couple of electrolyte packets out of my bag. “Here.” I pass one to each of the twins.
“Thanks, Captain.” Hazen holds it up in a cheers motion.
“I’m not your captain anymore.” I nod toward the fourth-year who’s our current team captain.
“Garrison only got the C because he threatened to get Coach fired.” Hazen tears his electrolyte packet open and puts the opening to his mouth.
“For what?” Connor asks.
“Rumor has it Coach was getting friendly with Professor Andrews over the summer,” Hazen says after he’s swallowed some of the mix. “And they were dumb enough to do it in one of Garrison’s old man’s hotels, so he got his hands on all the CCTV footage he needed to get the C.”
“Which Professor Andrews?” I ask. As far as I know, there are two professors with that last name, and they’re a married couple.
“Mrs. Professor Andrews.” Hazen sucks back the rest of his mix.
“How come I never hear about the good gossip?” Connor asks. “Sharing is caring, bro.”
Hazen grabs Connor’s electrolyte packet. “Thanks for sharing and caring, bro.”
I dig another packet out of my bag and toss it to Connor.
“But back to you getting some on the regular,” Connor says pointedly. “He doesn’t want people to know you’re bumping uglies?”
I shake my head and rip open my own packet.
“Is it because of the McKenna thing, or is it the you being a dude thing?” he asks.
