Jon took a step toward her.“Baby, Gloria is Grant’s woman. He asked us to find her because he couldn’t leave his position. Those two have been together for years.”

She wiped a tear from her cheek even as her stomach relaxed a bit.“It doesn’t matter. You still don’t want to be seen with me.You need to find a woman you want to be with and not one you want to stash away until you want sex.”

“Fuck.”Koa jerked around, took a few steps away, and then turned back.“I need you to listen to me,” he gritted out between his teeth.“Can you do that?Just hear me out.”

She sighed and then nodded.

“We don’t want another woman. We won’t ever want another woman...”He held out a hand when she shook her head.“Wait, you said you’d listen. We are not ashamed of you at all.We haven’t taken you down to the Sanctuary because we don’t like other men looking at you.We are both possessive fuckers when it comes to you. We’ve never been like this, so we don’t know how to handle it.”

She shook her head.

Koa nodded.“Yes.How can you think we’d want anyone else? You were made for us.We love you.”

“You’ve been pulling away from me.You haven’t talked about your feelings even when I say I love you. You’ve never brought up the future. Not ever. All I do is cook and clean, and I’m handy when you want sex.”

She paused and took in a breath.“It’s going to take a while to convince myself, but I think I’m worth more than that.”

Jon leaned against the inside of the door of the truck and toward her.

“You are worth everything to us.I’m panicking inside because I don’t know how to get through to you, and I’ll lose it if you walk away from us.I can’t handle the thought of you not in our lives. We fucked up.We know that now, and we’ll fix it even if it drives us crazy to have men stare at you.”

Jon reached for her hand and relaxed when she let him hold it.“I love you more than I’ve loved anyone in my whole life. Please give us another chance to show you.Don’t give up on us.”

She looked down at the hand that held hers.Never in her whole life had she felt as safe as she did with these men. She’d never been happier until the last few weeks. The thought of losing them tore at her soul until the pain took her breath and her will to keep moving.

Did she have the strength to try again? To believe the words that came from them?

She turned toward Macy as he stood outside the driver’s side door.

“I don’t know what to do?”she whispered, asking for his guidance.

Macy looked at the men and then back to her.“I think you need to give them a chance.I believe with my whole heart that those two men love you.If you love them, you have to let them try to work it out.”

She nodded, looked away from Macy, and faced her men, and stared silently from one to the other.“All right, I won’t leave if you promise that if you find someone else, you’ll be honest with me.”

Jon smiled for the first time in hours.“Hell, yeah, because it’s never going to happen,” he stated and pulled her out of Macy’s truck and into his arms and carried her toward their home.

Koa watched them and then turned to Macy.“We owe you, my friend.”

****

Macy shook his head.“No.I just want you both to get your heads out of your asses and take care of her.”

Koa chuckled.“Oh, that’s definitely going to happen. We won’t make this mistake again.”

Macy nodded.“Good, now go take care of your woman.”

He watched Koa trot after the other two, and then their door closed, and he heard the lock engage before getting in his vehicle and driving around to the back of the property, where he lived in a house. He stopped before the door to his home and looked up at the stars. He was so thankful he’d found her, and no one else had come across her.

There were too many bad men out in the world. He’d seen terrible things. He had to deal with people who were the worst of society, and he didn’t want anyone like that around Mina.

He shook his head and walked into his house. He could sleep, knowing she was with her men.
