“You wanna go for a ride?”

“I can’t—I’m meeting Josh and Benny at Lust.”

“Benny’s in town again?” Eagle picked up his beer.

“Yeah, he’s been talking about going there all week. He acts like they don’t have any gentlemen’s clubs in Durango.”

Aztec wiped his mouth with a napkin. “You sound like you don’t wanna go.”

Crow shrugged. “I was planning to drop by Valerie’s to see how the kids are.”And to make sure Angie’s not playing amateur detective. The thought of something happening to her made his gut twist. He shifted in the chair. “Then I was gonna go for a ride.”

“Shit, a ride is better than any strip club—even ours,” Eagle said, and the two men nodded. “Although I have to say, I’m partial to Houston. The way she moves and her long blonde hair makes me hard every time.”

Crow chuckled. “She has that effect on a lot of guys. Kyra made a good decision in hiring her. Army said she was a bit awkward in the beginning, but now she’s kicking ass.”

“And what a pretty sweet ass she has.” Eagle shook his head. “It’s too fuckin’ bad that club members aren’t allowed to hook up with the dancers. I can’t believe I agreed and voted that in.”

“We all did, dude. It makes for a lot less drama to keep the employees separate from the members at all the club’s businesses,” Crow said.

“I know, but that doesn’t make me less pissed that I can’t have some fun with her.”

“Scorpio had a hand in hiring her, at least that’s what I heard from Army and Brutus,” Aztec said.

“I’m sure he did.” Crow laughed. “He’s into blondes too.”

Nodding, Aztec stood up from the table. “Well, I gotta do some shit before I head over to the dispensary. Tomorrow let’s go for a ride. How’s noon?”

“After a night at Lust, two’s better,” Eagle said.

“Okay, two.” He looked over at Crow. “You gonna come?”

“Hell yeah,” he replied. “After all the damn snow we’ve had, I’m itching to hit the back roads.”

“Cool. Later,” Aztec said before walking away.

“You want another shot?” Eagle asked as he stood up.

“Yeah.”

Eagle gave him the thumbs up, then ambled to the bar.

The cacophonyof music and chatter spilled out when Crow opened the front door to the gentlemen’s club. Lust was packed with big spenders willing to part with their cash. As he entered the place, he bumped fists with Ruger and Brutus, who were manning the front.

“Business looks good,” he said.

Brutus nodded. “We got a couple of corporate groups in here tonight. Around midnight, they’ll get outta control. I’ve seen that so many fuckin’ times. That’s the way they are. You know—married, driven, too damn uptight all the time. Once the booze kicks in and they egg each other on, they start acting like a bunch of rude horse’s asses.”

“Better than the privileged ones. Those fuckers piss me off. They think the dancers are their fucking property,” Ruger said, slamming his fist into the palm of his other hand.

“They’re a bunch of jerks who don’t know shit about respect,” Brutus said.

Crow laughed. “And that’s where we come in—to teach the fuckers the right way to act.”

“Is our table by the stage?” Benny asked, squeezing behind Crow.

Looking over his shoulder, he said, “Yeah, Ruger’s taking us to it.”
