Yeah, she’s a feisty one.“Is Mexican good?” She nodded. “Then I’ll see you at Alfonso’s at seven.”

“Great choice. They have the best food in town,” Silvia said.

He bent over and snatched Angie’s cell phone and tapped in his number.

“If something comes up and you can’t make it, let me know.”

“It doesn’t seem fair that I have your number and you don’t have mine,” she said, glancing down at the phone.

Fuck yeah—she’s interested.“Then give it to me.”

With her number secured in his phone, he winked at her, then swaggered out of the diner. Crow felt her eyes on him as he crossed the parking lot but didn’t look back; he didn’t want to make it too easy for her.

After settling down on the leather seat, he switched on the ignition, and his motorcycle roared to life. A feeling of satisfaction and pleasure coursed through him. He clenched his teeth and backed out of the parking space, pissed at how happy he was over having dinner with Angie the following night. That woman was getting into his blood, and he didn’t like it one bit.

With his feet on the pedals, he sped out of the lot and merged into the darkness.
