“What’s going on?” Scorpio said as he walked over. “You”—he pointed to Crow—“look pissed as hell, and you”—he glanced over at Eagle—“are having way too much fun. So let me in on it.”

“Nothing’s going on,” Crow said as he pushed away from the bar.

“Does it have something to do with that chick yesterday—the one who’syourwoman?” A wide grin broke out across Scorpio’s face.

“You have a woman?” A thread of hurt laced Ruby’s voice.

Crow shook his head. “Don’t listen to them. They’re bored outta their minds, so they invent shit.”

“Go talk to Klutch. He was asking about you,” Eagle said.

“Klutch is here? I didn’t see him,” Ruby answered as she looked around the room.

“Was he at church?” Crow asked.

“No, he just got here with Throttle and Diesel. They stopped over for tonight, then onto a poker run for the next week.”

“Are Banger and Hawk involved with that too?” Aztec said.

“Nah, they just came here to talk about the rally,” Eagle replied.

“So Diesel finally got his ass outta prison?” Crow laughed.

“He did,” Hawk said, moving toward them. “Diesel finally realized his dick was gonna fall off if he didn’t get some pussy, so he turned himself into a damn choir boy, and they released him.”

“Are you talking about me?” Diesel said.

“Dude!” Scorpio grabbed him into a bear hug, and the Night Rebels followed suit. “It’s about time you got your ass back.”

“When didyouget out?” Diesel asked him.

Scorpio rocked back on his heels. “A year ago. I missed my damn Harley too much, so I played nice even though I wanted to beat the shit outta most of the pussies in there.”

“Yeah, I missed riding like a motherfucker too—and good pussy.” Diesel looked around the room and pointed to Lila and Alma. “Like them. I’ll be back in about an hour.” He lifted his beer bottle in the air. “Here’s to good fucking.”

“Fuck yeah,” Scorpio said, with Eagle, Aztec, and Crow joining in.

Diesel strode over to the two club girls.

“He’s been fucking ever since he got out two months ago.” Hawk laughed. “Between that and riding, the club hasn’t seen him except for church and parties.”

“I was like that too when I got out,” Scorpio said.

“You’re still that way, dude.” Crow nudged his friend’s arm.

Eagle, Aztec, and Hawk busted out laughing.

Jigger walked over and clasped his hand on Crow’s shoulder. “Sorry to hear about Abe, brother.”

The laughter quickly died away, and the men’s faces grew somber.

“Thanks,” Crow said.

“It fuckin’ sucks,” Aztec said while Hawk nodded.

“He was a cool guy. He didn’t deserve that shit,” Eagle said.

“Any idea who might’ve done it?” Hawk asked.
