“Let me see that,” Adam said, snatching the phone out of my hands. He peered at the photograph, then pointed at the corner.“Shit, I think that’s the old wooden water tower on the east side of pack territory.”
My heart plummeted. I gasped. “You think he’s going to jump? Oh god, I need to go to him!”

“Adam, I HAVE to go! Someone has to stay here and man the restaurant, but I have to go! Please!” Tears filled my eyes at the thought of that poor boy, drunk and terrified and alone up there.
Adam cursed. “Goddamnit. Hurry. Take the car.”
I was already halfway out the door. I snatched the keys off the ring in the office, then burst outside. The winter air bit at my cheeks, snowflakes swirling around me.
