“What?” Adam barked.
“I need to leave. I can’t be here, can’t be here right now. Not like this. I’m sorry!” I spun away, but Fletcher blocked my path, and my exit.
He raised his hands in front of me. “Sky, take a deep breath, okay? Think this through. You can’t leave. You’re very vulnerable right now and there are people—Alphas—out there who would abuse you in your time of need. You’re safe here, please believe that.”
I began to cry, burying my face in my hands. “I hate this… I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
“Sky, why are you sorry?” Fletcher asked gently, but I couldn’t force the words out. Shame and guilt swarmed me like flies on a corpse. I shook my head and retreated to my bedroom, needing to jerk off or finger myself—something, anythingto relieve the mounting pressure.
God, how was I going to survive this?

ADAM
I stood there, still wrapped in the thick, cloying scent of Sky’s heat. He was frantic, frightened…and desperate. In the throes of need, and fuck if I didn’t have a hard-on just from being near him. What was wrong with me? But it was natural. I was an Alpha. Alphas reacted to Omegas in heat—it didn’t matter who the Omega was.
I grimaced as Sky retreated down the hall, shifting awkwardly in hopes that Fletcher might not see the bulge in my pants.
Fletcher came over to me, his brows knitted in concern but his eyes soft as he studied my face. Could he see through my half-baked mask? Worse, could he smell my arousal?
“Adam?”
I took a deep breath. “I’m sorry, kitten. I just…need a moment,” I murmured.
Fletcher touched my face, drawing my gaze back to his. “It’s okay. Honest. I have a suggestion, and it might be a little out of left field, but…what do you think about sharing Sky?”
Everything inside of me jolted, as if Fletcher had just shocked me with 10,000 volts of electricity. I stared at my mate, stunned. I hadn’t expected that. “What?”
“Like we used to.”
I shook my head, ready to shoot him down. “Those times have come and gone?—”
But Fletcher held up his hand. “Look. Right now, this isn’t about us. It’s about Sky. He needs an Alpha to get him through his heat, and if we don’t help him, I’m afraid he really might run off, and I fear what might happen to him if he does. His past heats have been spent chained down to a table and fucked against his will. He’s scared. He’s probably feeling ashamed and alone right now, and I don’t want him to feel that way. We can help him. Guide him. Make sure he’s safe and doesn’t get pregnant. We’ll be careful and gentle with him.”
I blew out a slow breath, considering my mate’s words. As much as I wasn’t sure about this, because it would changeeverything, Fletcher was right. Skyneededus. He needed an Alpha to sate his heat, to help him through to the other side, and I would be careful.
“I don’t know…” I finally said.
“Let’s at least propose it to him,” Fletcher suggested. “He might not even want it.”
I nodded, because he had a point. Together, we went down the hall to Sky’s bedroom and knocked on the door. As expected a shrilled out, “GO AWAY!” greeted us.
“Sky, we need to speak with you,” Fletcher called out. “It’s important.”
It took a moment, but Sky finally opened the door a crack. Instantly, the smell of sex and heat and cum wafted out to punch me square in the nose. Fuck…
“Can we come in?” I rumbled out.
Sky flushed crimson, but nodded and backed away from the door. He sat down on the bed. Fletcher and I knelt down across from him, putting ourselves on his level to talk to him.
“We want to help you through your heat,” I said.
Sky sort of half-laughed. “How?”
Fletcher and I exchanged a look. “We’ve shared partners in the past,” he said softly. “This isn’t strange for us. We would take you to our bed and make love to you, sate your heat the right way. Safely.”
This seemed to stun him. He stared at us for a long minute. “I… You want to… Um…”
