Camila stepped up to the aisle formed by the chairs and flowers and there was a bright smile on her face. She was due in a couple weeks, but nothing was going to keep her from standing up next to her new best friend on her wedding day. She looked damn adorable in her dress with her belly leading the way down the aisle. Not that I was going to say anything like that. Kilo had learned that lesson for all of us.

A flash of Dev this far along popped into my mind and I couldn’t help but smile. I’d considered inviting her to celebrate with us, but hadn’t because I knew it would freak her out.

It was only seven in the morning, so it wasn’t too hot out yet. OD hadn’t proposed to Rue all that long ago, but they both wanted it to happen soon. Which meant Rue and a couple of our guys—me, my dad, and Isaac included—had to go to work later today. So we were doing the ceremony, then a quick party afterward over at the clubhouse, then we’d all go our separate ways. We’d celebrate more later on.

Rue had told us that she didn’t want anything more. She didn’t want to be the center of attention, so this was perfect for her.

Laughter filled the air, catching my attention, and I chuckled as Norman walked down the aisle, carrying a basket of flowers in his mouth. He had on a fancy black bow tie. “Where the hell did you find that?” I asked Relay, amused.

“Some shop way out on the outskirts of Phoenix,” he muttered. “Owner was a fucking weirdo, but had the goods.”

I shook my head but didn’t say anything because that had been nice of Relay to do and the easiest way to piss him off was to point that out. Normally, I’d have fun doing that, but not today. I wouldn’t ruin this for Rue.

Norman trotted over and sat his ass down right next to Flir. He leaned his huge body against the biker’s leg, ignoring Flir’s attempts to get him to move.

The music changed and we all watched as Rue walked down the aisle in a simple lace wedding dress. I didn’t know shit about dresses, but I knew when they looked good. Glancing over, I smirked as I saw the dumbstruck look on OD’s face. That fucker had no idea how lucky he was. Or…maybe he did.

We were all in our usual uniforms, jeans, T-shirts, boots, and cuts. We’d offered to wear whatever Rue wanted, but she had told us she wanted everyone to be comfortable. The guests were in comfortable clothes, too. I elbowed Teddy in the ribs as he started shifting around too much while Ryan escorted Rue down the aisle. “Keep still.”

“It’s hot,” he muttered.

“At least you’re not in a suit,” I reminded him. “Keep still or I’m going to sic Camila on you.”

Teddy straightened up and held still. Camila was a sweetheart but she’d planned this wedding like a general gearing up for a battle. No one wanted to cross her or disappoint Rue.

Relay and I stood there and kept Teddy in line while Priest got the ceremony started. It was quick, fit them perfectly—though the jokes OD had tried to get Priest to slip into the speech didn’t make it—and was over when OD dipped Rue and kissed her enthusiastically.

The guests laughed at his antics. Camila arched a brow at him when she met his gaze and I knew she was the one who’d taken out his jokes. I wondered what she’d said to Priest. I had no doubts there were multiple threats.

The mothers—mine, Camila’s, and Kilo’s, as well as Camila herself—had made a fancy breakfast for everyone. I watched friends and family mingle and celebrate with a content smile. The only thing that would make this better would be having Devyn here.

Some day. I’d get her to a wedding someday. Hopefully ours. A year ago I’d have laughed if someone told me I’d be having these thoughts. But it was time. I needed more. I wanted Dev.

Later that morning,I wiped sweat off my brow as I stacked two by fours into a neat pile. We were building an addition onto a house outside the city.

“Why the hell isn’t Relay here helping with this?” Isaac grunted as he put down the boards he’d carried over.

“He’s busy with something else,” Dad replied in a good-natured tone.

“He was at the damn wedding this morning,” Isaac pointed out.

“And now he’s busy,” Dad replied.

Isaac scowled at him. “It’s already hot as balls out here. What are you so happy about?”

Usually, we would be starting as the sun rose, to beat the heat. But we’d gotten a later start today thanks to OD and Rue’s wedding this morning. I thought about the ceremony and wondered how long it would be before I could convince Devyn to do something like that. I was going to be lucky enough to get her to stick around at all. I was sure weddings weren’t in our immediate future.

Dad arched a brow at my brother. “What’s not to be happy about? The question is why are you in such a miserable mood?”

“Needs pussy,” I said, stacking another two by four into place.

Dad grunted in response. “Maybe you should take care of that, Son. Do us all a favor.”

“That’s not what I-” Isaac broke off as a car pulled into the driveway. He looked down at his watch. “It’s noon. We never get started this late. At least the Gruebers said they were going to be out all day.” It’d taken us a couple hours to get the supplies we needed after the wedding before heading out here, so we’d been looking forward to working on the place while it was empty.

Mrs. Grueber had dragged her husband off for a day of shopping. I doubted he’d convinced her not to buy anything in less than two hours. Leaning over, I looked around the house and frowned as two SUVs and a truck pulled in. “Fucking weird. Maybe they’re lost.”
