He grips my thighs before rolling to pin me beneath him. “Nah, can’t leave you to run the kingdom unsupervised. What would poor Elyse do if you were assassinated? Dear old dad feels like kidnapping a princess, that’s his deal. Stealing women from their lives may run in the family, but I’m not inclined to give up my first place trophy yet.”

One hand clawing at the wall I’m pressed up against, my other digs into Maverick’s shoulder. My leg is thrown over his arm, his next thrust driving impossibly deeper, tearing a breathless moan from my throat.
His palm covers my mouth as he leans in to whisper in my ear. “You’re going to wake the sleeping giant,” he teases, Grave rubbing off on the man in recent weeks.
He continues to pound into me relentlessly, making it impossible to be quiet. Keeping his hand in place to muffle my cries, I slip mine between us, circling my clit, desperate to come.
“Little late for that,” Everett chuckles, voice husky with sleep. “You two are worse than a couple of rabbits; do you ever actually sleep?”
Mav removes his hand from my mouth to lay it against my collar, thumb brushing over the hollow of my throat as he slows to a languid pace that makes me want to scream in frustration. “My job is to keep El safe and happy.” He rolls his hips and my eyes close, inhaling a sharp breath as he hits the perfect spot. “And I take my responsibilities seriously.”
Everett’s feet are on the floor now as he sits on the edge of the bed, down to just his boxers. “I think you’re going to be hard pressed angling for a raise through orgasms.”
“Sounds like a good way to get to the top, though.”
Everett smirks, lifting his hips to shove his boxers off as Maverick pulls out, leaving a hollow ache behind. “Might be worth a try.”
Climbing onto his lap, I sink down on him with a blissful sigh, gently pushing his shoulder and urging him to lie back so I can have a better angle. I start riding him hard and fast, chasing my orgasm with near desperation, my breaths quickening.
The sound of a drawer opening and closing is followed by Maverick’s slick cock pressing into my ass. Ev works a hand between us, toying with me to help me relax through the sharp hiss of pain, and soon, the three of us are moving in tandem. Rocking my hips, I brace myself on Everett’s chest, tightening around them both, my breaths a shallow pant as I start to come apart. Harder, faster, they follow me over that ledge, burying themselves to the hilt and filling me with heat, branding me from the inside out.
The door opens and my eyes snap up to meet Grave’s, mirth brightening his gaze to a piercing blue, even in the dim lighting. A moment later, two figures come to a stop behind him. “And this would be my girlfriend. Mom, Elysium; Elysium, Amelia Garrison.” He gestures with his hand between Amelia and myself, neither Maverick or Everett moving like they’re trying to be invisible.
“And those two would be…?” Amelia hesitantly asks, glancing up at Jax like he has the answers, not wanting to overstep and upset her newfound son.
“Those would be our boyfriends,” he declares easily, stepping inside of the room. “Looks like you’ll have to finish the tour without me. See you at breakfast?”
She nods awkwardly as he closes the door on both of them, striding into the room and tearing off his shirt. “Angel, if you were lonely, you could have called.”
Maverick pulls out of my ass and I roll off of Everett, getting to my feet and meeting him in the middle of the room. “You could have given us a heads up.” Gently, I smack his shoulder, but my gut still twists with nerves. “She’s going to hate me now. That was one of the worst first impressions someone can make!”
“How can anyone see you naked and not be thrilled?” At my glare, he grabs my hand, lifting it to place a kiss at my pulse and I immediately soften under his touch. “The people in this room are all that matter, angel. You’ll drive yourself mad worrying about what other people think.”
Withdrawing his favorite knife, he thumbs the faded letter, drawing attention to the ‘G’ with a frown. “Garrison. I found it in the house one day and Julian told me it was an old piece of junk that he didn’t want any more so I could keep it, conveniently leaving out that it was my grandfather’s.” He stares wistfully at it, lost in his memories. “And that’s when I changed my name. But now… I don’t know if I want it.”
It’s clear to all of us that he isn’t talking about the knife anymore, but the mantle he took up because of it. I kept his name to myself, not wanting to breathe life into the painful memories associated with it, even for the sake of bringing the other two up to speed despite their curiosity. But I meant what I said that night; it’s worth its weight in gold, at least to the man standing in front of me.
And trust is such a fragile thing, especially to people constructed of broken pieces.
Everett reclines on the bed, half asleep already. “Sounds like it’s time to put ‘Grave’ to rest then. Bury it and move on.”
Maverick is face down on the other side of the bed, his voice muffled as he starts to drift off as well. “Despite his claims, Julian was the king of nothing, and wanted you to think the same about yourself. But now look at you; the prince to everything. I think it’s the perfect time for a name change.”
They can’t see the pain that flashes across his face, and I’m not sure they’d understand it even if they could. It’s the look of a man that’s finally gotten everything that he always secretly wanted, but never thought he’d see the day wishes made alone in the dark would actually come true.
They see him.
“I know it’s a bit of a mouthful, and unorthodox, but what about Morpheus?”
He cocks his head to the side before a slow smile starts to spread across his face. “God of dreams.”
I nod, leaning up to kiss him as I parrot the words he once spoke to me, back when our chains were so heavy we couldn’t risk thinking beyond surviving tomorrow. “Sandman always wins in the race against time, when dreams are all that we have left in this world.”
