Her hips began to move of their own accord. Her warm breath quickened against my neck until she finally released—and I felt her tongue trace the mark she’d left. Once. Twice. Cleaning it with a care that undid something in my chest entirely.

Then she sat up. Placed both hands flat on my chest. Tilted her head back.

And began to bounce.

I was determined to give her everything she needed—heat or no heat, bond or no bond. That had been true since the conference room and it was true now.

I cupped her breasts. Waited until she leaned into my hands before I tightened my grip.

That was all it took. She clenched around me—a gasp tearing out of her, her nails raking down my chest.

One final push.

I wrapped my hand around her throat.

My girl growled and drove her hips faster.

She leaned forward and ground herself against my knot—chasing it, desperate for it—her body moving with the single-minded focus of something that knew exactly what it needed.

Everything was frantic. Heat and skin and the scent of us filling every corner of her room.

And all I could think was how lucky we were.

She chose us.

She bit us.

Our mate.

I pushed her hair back to expose those silver eyes.

“Do you need my knot, sweetheart?”

She turned her head and drew my thumb into her mouth. I felt her tongue trace the pad, drag slowly to the base—then she sucked again.

“God damn,” I muttered.

I was completely and utterly fucked.

She’d run circles around us. Our children would run circles around us. I’d be Alpha in name only and we both knew it.

Before I could spiral further I felt her teeth press into my thumb.

I smiled. Ready for the challenge. More than ready.

I swivelled us until she lay flat on the demolished nest, lifted one leg and hooked it over my arm.

“Show me what you’ve got, Alpha,” she drawled.

Her hand worked down her belly, over the soft curls, exposing herself without ceremony. It didn’t last—both hands found occupation, one working her clit, the other at her breast.

I saw our future full of love and laughter. It hit me like a premonition.

I inched closer, one hand braced near her shoulder, the other pushing her leg high to keep her spread open. When I pulled back I had the momentum behind me. I powered forward, using my full weight to slam into her so she could feel exactly what she was about to take.

With each deep thrust I heard it knock the air from her lungs.

When she begged for more I answered—snapping my hips until my knot was coated with her slick. It was like knocking on heaven’s door.
